I’d like to see quick changes to our tactics if we are still in search of a goal in the 2nd. Martinelli deserves the bench, he has been poor. Also, ESR is a good goal scoring threat that I trust. He has an eye for the post which is something we are lacking.

Hopefully, he can be introduced as a second striker if we are in search of a goal in the 2nd. Villa are no push overs but we can take advantage of their challenges with playing out from the back when we press.

Villa have come out with a 4 man midfield which everyone seems to be doing now against Arsenal. Without Party we are struggling to close passing lanes and on offense we are slow to release our wingers.

This team needs a victory irrespective of performance or scoreline, it is the only way to motivate this group at this stage. Sometimes, you just need to get that W to regain your confidence. I still believe City will slip up and we will get opportunities to take advantage.
