Kanuris always vote for kanuris whether as presidents or running mates.in 1960 NPC didn't win there.in 1979 shagari lost there.in 1993 they voted abiola because of kingibe.instead of voting atiku that is from ne,they voted buhari because his mum is kanuri.so you see,they always kanuris.atiku will be buried here

Apart from that, those votes were for Buhari and Tinubu will never inherit them. Buhari's ANPP ruled borno then to CPC and finally APC, Ogbonnaya Onu was party chairman then while Chuba Okadigbo was VP candidate. Yorubas were confined to their tribal enclave then before attaching themselves on Buhari to come up small. They will be sent back as Buhari leaves office. Meanwhile Biu in southern Borno has been overrun by Labour Party

Pre 2015, candidates needed Buhari's endorsement to win elections in their own States. If Buhari were to contest elections with Kwakwaso of Kano in 2015, he would have beaten him by more than a million, likewise Shettima, Elrufai et al (in their own States, not even at the national level). All of these guys latched onto the Buhari movement to become what they are today, same Buhari the likes of Ganduje open their mouths and say trash about.
