Imagine the audacity of these politicians forecasting votes to be bought at N200 naira because of the hardship they created. N200 for another 8 years, that's even if the seller survives the hardship of the first 4 years cos someone who sells his vote is very unfortunate. This shows the disconnect between them and the reality...what can N1,000 buy today, talk less of N200? When you buy something worth N100(thats if you get anything of that amount), you pay N100 extra for transfer fee because there's no cash. If only Nigerians could see through them and show them that they're not as dumb as these politicians think they are. Nigerians wise up. |

phorget:Not a bad policy but method of implementation is wrong. You want to go cashless fine. How about network issues that will aid transfer they totally forget they can't manage the traffic. The rural areas are the worst hit. Before a good policy should be implemented understand how it will affect the citizens first, but since most of our leaders think like misguided missiles you see them setting up the cart before the horse. |
| Re: Vote-Buying: Politicians Plot New Strategies To Bypass Cash Crunch by Greattha: 9:42am On Feb 19, 2023 |
FarahAideed:By their fruits you know them. Vote buying is a ruse, just as fuel subsidy was declared a ruse pre-2015 but today, more has been spent on the ruse than ever in the history of Nigeria. While you're entitled to your opinion, however sad that may be, this only portrays you as one of the agents of vote buying/selling. The fact that you call others with contrary opinions sub level thinkers tells your loooow IQ level, given your submission. Did you even stop to think that if things were right in Nigeria, people won't be so poor & illiterate that they'll sell their votes for N200? Way to go, justifying criminal activity & evil with /as an acceptable norm. So now a voter is an adult who can choose to buy or sell votes but you're the same people that say: there's freedom of speech but freedom after speech is not guaranteed. The constitution is only valid when it favours you like the politicians in these past few days? These members(supposed intellectuals) sha! |

| Re: Vote-Buying: Politicians Plot New Strategies To Bypass Cash Crunch by parags(m): 10:06am On Feb 19, 2023 |
why why why would you release your strategy ? Stupidity and bragging will be the downfall of most politicians in Nigeria. Now security agents and anticorruption agencies can conveniently track down people that are actively buying and selling votes. Hisut get the accounts those funds are coming out from and the accounts they are going to and get them all arrested after immunity expires. |

| Re: Vote-Buying: Politicians Plot New Strategies To Bypass Cash Crunch by profmallor: 10:25am On Feb 19, 2023 |
The more suffering you inflict on people the less the incentives you need to buy them over. In the time of plenty people might not take N20,000 from you because they have a choice, but at times of lack, even N1000 might look so BIG. This situation would only benefit the politicians at the end of the day. An hungry man cannot think straight. |
