Borno state has over 40% christians. 95% of southern borno people are Christians. Borno has more christians population than kaduna. Most of them are ECWA, HEKAN. these churches don't participate in election, that's why a community that has 90% Christian population has a Muslim as their leader. But things are changing now. They are now participating in elections and having Christian local governments chairmen, etc
