Humans force humans to take extreme measures.
I'm just saying.

He's a cop. Yeah, he's not leaving that house and nothing wey you wan do unless you take extreme measures.

You can report him to his superiors, that's some extreme measure or you could just send his name to the village so he can become another ESN statistics.

If we dey abroad ni, I for say make you burn the house on his head and collect the insurance.

Policemen no get levels.

If you have money, take him to court. Make sure the case is shifted far as Maiduguri and back...with less adjournment.

His small salary cannot contain that. Since he wants to twist the law, help him make it spaghetti.

Well, if na me, e for don commot since. I can't even allow a policeman rent my space. I rather give it free to a person who has no home.

I dislike cops and would never make the mistake of renting a house to a cop or soldier or similar in Nigeria. It's easier to avoid that stress.

A policeman and his family who have been tenants in my late parents house are frustrating me, they do not pay electricity bills, the damage things in the compound and behave like they own the house. I recently came back to stay in the house and found out the tenants have been misusing the house, however the other tenants moved out even without me serving them quit notice but this policeman has refused to moved out even after the expiration of the 3 months quit notice, he even told me to my face that the court will just keep adjourning the case and he won't move out until he's ready to. How do I deal with this please?

That reminds of a similar incident that occurred in the late 90s, the landlord gave quit notice to the woman who converted the rented space to a brothel as she rented the entire compound while the landlord lived in the next compound. Landlords around were against the landlord renting the entire building to the woman for the brothel business as she was relocating from the other end of the street where the owners evicted but the landlord was greedy because the woman offered him twice he would have gotten from regular tenants and him being in his 50s, a randy single father with grown up children from different wome, the thought of having easy access to prostitutes was enticing and madam also offered him free pick of any of her girls whenever he desired.

Just one year down the line, regular police raids of the brothel from Area H in trail of armed robbers, regular fights among the girls and indecent exposure to the children in the neighbourhood.

By the second year, the landlord had enough and gave quit notice but the woman insisted she is going no where and stopped paying rent, this got the landlord frustrated and got carpenters to remove the entire roof of the brothel. The woman got the landlord arrested, claimed her money and those of her girls were stolen when he brought "hoodlums" to the brothel.

The case ended up in court, though the woman and her girls moved out and the court had the property sealed while the case ran its course for years, despite everyone knowing no money was stolen as it was a Church that wanted to buy the property that had the case withdrawn from the court and had a financial settlement with the woman.
