Maj.-Gen. Ibrahim Ali has said that the Naira swap and cashless policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, mitigated violent extremism in the North East. I disagree with the notion that the Naira swap and the cashless policy have any mitigating effect on the terrorist activities in the north. Truth be told, the tamping down on these terrorist activities is a result of the oncoming so-called election. The sponsors of these terrorists are for now occupied with the election hence there is a lull in their activities temporarily and to resume full force after the elections. |

Winnersunited:If you take the horse to the river, can you force it to drink water? The current naira swap openly illustrate the difference in the way Buhari and Tinubu thinks, not minding the fact that they are from the same party. Buhari believes in all these old fashioned ideas while Tinubu is forward looking creative. In the end the buck stops at Buharis table, and not Tinubu. Obasanjo once famously said he had the right not to take advice from his Special Advisers, and he was right but he must accept responsibility for the success or failure thereof. |

He said the terrorists have taken to social media to wage a counter propaganda war! Not everyone complaining on SM about the cash crunch is interested in your wellbeing. Money from kidnapping and terrorism is also a source of political funding. Only a fool will vote a candidate because of tribe when his reasons for running are entirely different. |

Nigeria Nerve Learn, this was how India introduce cashless policy and demonetization of 500and 1000Rupess the year 2016, which brought about endless suffering loss of job and drop in GDP though it increase cashless transaction but the Effect on the Economic was devasting..Just hope Emefieli knowns what's is doing |

This is just justification of a wicked and haphazardly implemented policy who's outcome is yet to be quantified. First we heard it was NIN that had solved the problem. My take is that those criminals are just bidding their time till after the elections before they go back to their vomit |
