[quote author=OasisX post=121126228] ![]() [font=serif]Atiku has a Message for Canopians. am honestly convinced that structure will fail the two big parties this election. Nigerians have become too politically aware that they will vote individuals rather than party. In my own area, the NASS candidates are campaigning alongside Obedients so as not to destroy their little chances. The fact that LP is not in most LG and so won't be having candidates there, will be a tool for most NASS candidates to win the hearts of Obedients by forming ranks with their preferred presidential candidate. |

Donjazet2, is it safe to assume the main reason you suddenly think political parties shouldn't matter in elections even though Obi was PDP from 2014 to 2022 was because you want Igbo presidency regardless of which Igbo man had the best shot? You have continually labeled your fellow pro-Buhari comrades of 8 years as tribalists because they are voting along the same party lines as you did in 2015 and 2019? If you didn't see anything good in Obi even as VP in 2019, what convinced you in 2022? Hasn't Obi always been saying the same things he's campaigning with now even since 2016 in public events? Why is Laride who, like you, voted along party lines suddenly a tribalist for doing what you both did in 2015 and 2019, but you are the patriot because parties shouldn't matter now? Let's leave the characters of the presidential candidates asides. Osinbajo declared too as he's seemingly as gentlemanly as Obi, so why didn't you support your APC man during the primaries but wanted a PDP man Obi, a party you swore must never be allowed back to power? |

Yes I voted for buhari in the past cycle but important difference, I DID NOT CAMPAIGN FOR HIM! The difference between me and APC lapdogs is that You would not see me defending buhari's policies or even having egged others to vote for him.. As for my reasons, the 2 cycles were different. Every election presents different dynamics to it. In 2015, I really did despise the party PDP even though I felt Jonathan as an individual was probably a "good" person. I believed Jonathan was too soft to take on powers that be that held us for ransom. Plus his inability to face the brewing security crises in the north. These were actually the consensus opinions then. 2015 gave us a rare opportunity to break up the hegemony of the PDP which believe you me, was massive. PDP always had about 2\3rd of the Senate and house of rep with close to 30 governors and I saw that cycle as a genuine opportunity for the growth of our democracy and that sentiment was driven into 2019 too in a way and one that has actually materialised now with what we're seeing. And you might not believe it but I even fell for the tinubu propaganda machine too. That projected him as a democrat who always fought for Nigeria's democracy not as the man with numerous criminal encounters or the fact that his history is basically unknown. Then I saw buhari as a man who would not be beholden to the cabal that held Nigeria down. In 2019, when I saw that buhari had started on a very bad footing, we were given atiku who too me was essentially the same thing. Infact my sole decision was still hinged on not letting PDP back soo soon. There was little or no difference between both parties but one has to make a choice that counts. This election cycle, my position and reasons and motivation are well known. This opportunity nigeria has right now is something never heard about in any Africa's country history. Many people have said it, apart from the fact that obi is clearly the best candidate of the 3 in terms of capacity, physical capability, intellect and relative experience, it's the fact that nigerian youths themselves are the ones who basically ran this campaign. Who created something out of nothing. Who elevated a relatively unknown party and person to the heights of polity with a very significant chance of upset. A big F U to the political establishment of the country. People are not even supporting Obi just for who he is but what he REPRESENTS! what his candidacy symbolizes. This is totally different from 2015 and 2019 which is why you see me mobilizing and shouting up and down. And better believe that if obi gets there and is not doing as expected, my voice will be the loudest in calling him out rather than defending the indefensible. That's the difference between me and BATstards. You will not see me defending buhari or even campaigning for him. Yes I made my choice to vote him, perhaps falling prey to propaganda but I wasn't responsible for others decisions. |

Donjazet2:Ol boy wetin be this ? You voted for him but didn't campaign for him ![]() Maybe u don't know , ur vote has much power than ur campaign. For example Raumdeuter has been campaigning for Tinubu but he's not voting cos he's far away from Nigeria and doesn't hold a PVC. Ur vote will definitely count more than his online campaigns. Just own it that u are one of those who rewarded Buahri with second term after a disastrous first term. Nobody go beat u and it doesn't stop u from campaigning and voting for Obi. |

Donjazet2:Donjazet2, this is your post just 3 months ago in response to a vituperative post directed at Raum for his support of Buhari. You joined in to attack him for campaigning for Buhari while sly-foxingky hiding the fact that you both were comrades-in-politicking who campaigned for Buhari twice in 2015 and 2019. And unlike Raum, you directly experienced the misrule by Buhari first hand yet campaigned for and queued to vote for him but shifted all the blame on Raum who didn't thumbprint on that ballot paper which set back Nigeria by 50 years. Donjazet2, what defence do you have not to have a gazillion times all the angst and vile words targeted at you for blaming everything wrong with Buhari on Raum and the other APC guys here. Heck! You are more like Buhari than any of them - like Buhari, you refused to take responsibility for enabling bad governance for 7+ years. |

DissTroy:You have started again with the invention of false narratives and making it stick. Disstroy if you don't show me where I have ever labelled larride a tribalist, then you are a bastard of untold proportions.. Again, disstroy, if you don't show me where I ever called larride a tribalist, then you are a bastard! You keep doing this over and over again. You invent false narratives without proof and you run with it. I have severally made that distinction between larride and the tribalists like dayo, joe and rabbit. If I call someone a tribalist, I back it up with facts from the person's history. What I call larride is a party man with a soul for hire. That even if a monkey was the candidate of APC, regardless of the monkeys origin, larride would support and dress him up for the masses. Mr man stop throwing shit at me to see which sticks. Time dey reach where indeed I will get your time as this election don dey pass, dont worry. |
