What I was against was the word "massacre". I bet you if you go back to that day, you will not see me in any way defend buhari or his government.

If I recall right, emotions were flying high that night and soo many false stories were flying about, propaganda was abound. And I was warning people to be more cautious about the TERMS being bandied about.

Infact the next day my points were being vindicated with soo many stories and images that were being debunked.

In fact I remember explaining my reasons for my call for caution and toning down the boiling rhetorics. In America that same period, they were protesting black lives matter movement, something which now took different dimensions, became headless, packed direction and led to the destruction of soo many properties, both private and government owned.
.the exact same thing was playing out in Lagos. A protest that started with good intent was derailing into something else and being hijacked by wanton forces, all culminating in that night.

Another reason PYO appealed to me is his personality and that of those who work directly with him. From Laolu to his photographer to the others. Relatively young, easy-going intelligent professional people who just do their jobs without going out of their way to court unnecessary controversies, even during the primary campaigns.

Unlike Tinubu's Bayo Onanuga, Keyamo and the likes.

Imagine what can achieved by a president if his appointees focus on their job descriptions instead of being being propagandists. Imagine the sanity in the presidency, including how Mrs. Dolapo Osinbajo carries herself with dignity and only speak where necessary. Imagine...

I once gave an example of a significant achievement of mine on this board.

Prior to 2015 and 2019 election, dayo went on a rampage on tribalistic bigotry and he was given the free rein to do so. On the sports section, indeed he didn't display that outright bigotry rather he used his usual persuasive " mind bending logic" to support the ticket.

I'm sure that if I did not expose those nasty things dayo had said, he would attempt to use that "logic" here to push for the tinubu candidacy. And people who be bereft as to his reasons for doing so. Why would a smart person support this kind of candidate? We wouldn't have known better his inner reasons why.

Tinubu is simply not a candidate a neutral person would be attracted to, there has to be underlying factors at play.

We in Nigeria need to learn from that. The protests were very honorable to begin with, with a very simple message #END SARS.
The international community has rallied behind us and the government has responded swiftly too. They have banned the unit and assured that the unit is now rendered defunct with reformation for it's members.
We have to take this win and bide our time, now the protests are being hijacked with all sorts of agenda from different people. The protests are gradually progressing to riots, the protesters are now a nuisance to the average citizen on the road.

These protests have to end now.
LET'S TAKE THE WIN AND BIDE OUR TIME. Else normal people will lose the zeal to continue to support us.
