Omo Barca European games dey taya my life. Cos I dey wonder whether wetin I dey see na the same thing wey dey happen for pitch over there wey Xavi dey.

Xavi no go do us anything for Europe apart from tears and gnashing of teeth if he doesn't raise his tactical acumen ASAP. It's grossly lacking.
In fact, a team of Real Sociedad and Villarreal are more potent threats to established teams that this Xavi's Barca that's only contented with domestic laurels.
I just tire.

I just dey miss the last time we had a tactical coach in Enersto Valverde. I no believe say I go miss that man wey I swear for many times but the guy was good tactically asides from his love for old players and predecessor Enrique.
Valverde might be very slow to make changes or barely makes it at all, but if that man out sub for match, you go almost always see the impact.

Person wey we first dey yab that time as the most clueless coach.
Dude hinges mostly on Messi and Suarez's brilliant partnership to work, but if the chips were down, man with his routine and predictable 75th, 85th and 88th minute changes dey work. We were even comeback kings for a season back then.

These coaches since that man don't know the words "tactics" "technicality". Na just arrange players for field go play.
Aswr down!!! Valverdes only issue back then was subbing very late which at times worked in Laliga but failed in UEFA .

I don't know if some fellas are blind or just choose to be in deceit.Xavi won't take us there. When we signed Xavi,we were masturbating over his love for deadly wingers and will destroy teams from flank.. but yesterday he needed show his signature the fool benched wingers and was using a niqqa(Roberto) slower than Legghost, Busquet my grandma!!!!🤧

Come next season when ATM and RealM picks form you will hate Xavi leave all this his initial gragra. I would have forgiving him if he tries new things but the baskard just stubborn even pass Koeman.

You should know a dig at the EPL when you see one, someone that came to England at the age where he’d have been retired to the bench. I’m not surprised he’s bossing the mid league, when all they do is hoof the ball and run. Any average player with good retention skills would look like Pirlo to you. Don’t even get me started on the attackers, the eyesore I get from watching mid players like Kane, Havertz, Nunez and Wegwhorst almost make me bleed.

Normally under koeman as tactically deficienct as he was,we would have had one or two of our la masia gems being heavily in the spotlight already but xavi seems to be extremely poor at grooming youth, Mostly sticking with ready made players, Torre he convinced to come is not playing, Chadi riad's only appearance this season was a very brief cameo against osasuna, Angel Alarcon hasn't really been given time to show what he's made of despite our left wing screaming for help, Barbera has been banging goals in the UEFA youth league but can't be tried as a short term lewa backup, Hope lamine Yamal doesn't follow the same route
Sadly I tell you, Lamine Yamal ain't progressing with current Xavi mentality we're seeing.

Koeman's era was bumbling with youth everywhere back then. Seems we've forgotten Ez Abde and Ferran Jutgla of that time. Nico Gonzalez was also his beneficiary.

All the youths Xavi is enjoying right now are the handiwork of Koeman.

This is what happens when you sell players like Memphis Depay and Aubameyang , only to end up putting midfielders like Gavi, Pedri and sometimes Sergi Roberto on the left wing. How would you prefer a Ferran Torres to a Memphis Depay? 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️

Xavi keeps on disappointing me with his managerial decisions.
Abeg... Xavi made an excellent decision to sell Depay. Auba would have been a second option eventually.

I don't understand why you'll mention Gavi and Pedri in the same sentence as Roberto. Those two on the wing and we've never lost a match.

Ferran would always be a better option than Depay that only knows how to hug balls and showboat. He really was good riddance to bad rubbish abeg

Very mid, when he plays in a team where the stakes are higher, you’d understand.

Meanwhile…Madridiots have dropped points 😂😂

Brother... I'll take Kane above any other striker in the Prem, ahead of even Haaland. Kane and mid are supposed to be two parallel lines.

Yes... I'm glad the white fowls got only a point. Let the boys win tomorrow to take it to 10 points

Answer to first paragraph: No he did not.

Answer to second paragraph: They are not natural wingers. Xavi thinks doing that helps him create a numerical advantage in the middle but what it actually does is to sacrifice valuable wing space that could be used to spread the opponents, drag out fullbacks and exploit the spaces left.

" " third paragraph: It's an absolute insult to compare Ferran Torres to Memphis Depay and an even greater insult to say he's better than Depay. I don't even want to start comparing stats. Is it not the same Depay, who during our trying times and before his injury was our highest goal scorer with about 8 goals?

If I remember correctly, this was even before Aubameyang came to dig us out of the pit we were in but of course football fans love having a short memory.

If we should conduct a poll on this issue, you would see that a lot of true Barcelona fans hated the way Xavi treated Depay and to an extent, Aubameyang.

As it stands now, Lewandowski is the only attacker we have , that I rate. I can't even put my trust in Dembele and Raphinha let alone trusting midfielders to do a winger's job. And with Lewa's age, he won't be consistent all the time.

If Xavi likes, he should keep on making such stupid moves. They can only take him so far.
Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by OhBritannia(m): 3:08am On Feb 26, 2023
Almeria. Should be easy for our boys today.
I mean we have no choice than to win, even if xavi rotates because of our match against Madrid In midweek. Winning Almeria should be easy, so 10 points here we come.

I know as a Big football club like Barcelona, we should always strive to compete at the highest level but perhaps losing to Manchester united is a blessing in disguise.

A fresh dembele and a fresh Pedri without a European football with just the league and Copa del Rey to worry about is more beneficial for the remainder of the season.

No doubt that European football always puts a stretch on the health of the players. I mean during our match against Manchester united, we almost lost Aruajo, lewandoski and Kounde in addition to our injury list and even Manchester united almost lost Rashford.

Without the champions league match Madrid played against Liverpool, they would have easily defeated Athletico Madrid yesterday so my point is that European football is always an additional stretch to the form of the team.

Maybe next season with a more deeper squad Barcelona can focus on the champions league but currently the squad ain't too deep to compete in both Europe and the league so for the remainder of this season, let's just focus on laliga and Copa del Rey.

I didn't ask any questions and I stand by my assertion, Depay was surplus to requirement and it was a good thing that he got booted out cos he was just taking space. I appreciate him being our no. 9 during Koeman's era but that's where it ends. Ferran, Auba, and Dani Alves were one of the primary reasons we could salvage to become second in the league and were pivotal towards us winning the first trophy we got this season.

So whatever you say, Memphis' time at Barca was done and he packed somewhere else. Let him continue his showboating at ATM.

I agree. As much as I am mad at Xavi for letting us lose the game against United, I am still trusting him with Barcelona.

Personally, if we can successfully win a domestic double or even treble, then it's a 100% win for us. Come next season, we feast on the possibility of progressing better in Europe.
