There's nothing that suggests anybody was playing any game. A person playing game will not have thugs prevent supporters of opposition from voting.

I called the people I know in alimosho and they said there was an open revolt against powers that be. It has nothing to do with any conspiracy theory of playing games. The youth were boldly telling it to the old party men's face that they are tired of a system where only the old men and their families getting goodies from politicians.

I have video of whatsapp conversation on an APC group where APC Lagos supporters were latching at each other that some only took money and didn't use it for mobilisation hence APC's poor showing in Lagos.

Even Larride here confirmed people being over confident that Tinubu would win Lagos convincingly and didn't go out to vote.

And for those who think Tinubu lost In Lagos simply cos the igbos voted massively and Yorubas didn't, the joke is on them. Areas like Alimosho, Shomolu, Kosofe, Surulere are not even Igbo dominated areas and yet LP put a good showing there. The people are just tired and did a protest vote; that's why u see Dayo Israel crying asking APC faithful to mend fences and build bridges ahead of the governorship election.

Tinubu himself is addressing party faithful and calling them out for not working hard enough

He didn't choose to lose Lagos.

I hope not. They are still the only decent opposition to APC we have.

PDP needs a Tinubu or they are going nowhere. All they had was wike, who could dole out money but had zero emotional intelligence and could not build relationships or loyalty.

They have been 8 years out of aso rock and they have not gotten their shit together. Maybe Bukola Saraki will be their new leader sha. But without a war chest to back his urbanity, not sure he is going anywhere.

Haba na Bros undecided undecided undecided undecided

PDP is the worst opposition party ever abeg
PDP was dead since Jonathan lost.

Wike tried to resurrect it, but had his ambitions. Atiku stole that ambition out of Wike's own overconfidence and arrogance.

Wike should have insisted that only southerners should contest for presidency. The moment he opened the door for Atiku was his end in PDP.

As it stands now, this election has taken away the last breath of the party. After this election, it's either a new PDP is formed or it remains a monumental historical society.

There is nothing like that. We are still using ballot boxes sir. Those Electoral Officers can use BVAS to snap the results sheet and upload.

He said Presiding Officers has the mandate to use the Bimodal Voters Accreditation (BVAS) machine to snap
election results documented on the results sheet from each polling unit and upload the photo of the result on the INEC Result Viewing Portal (IRev) for anxious Nigerians to observe.
I'd assume you're not trolling, but why do you think the whole idea of uploading results to the IREV was introduced in the first place?

There's no election in Nigeria that can ever be free and fair in the truest sense of the phrase.
From everything I've seen, this is probably the most free and fair election that Nigeria has ever had, and i'm being 100% serious.
Minus the pockets of ojoro happening here and there, the results bear it witness,

Tinubu lost Lagos - It is impossible to overstate this point. He also lost Osun that has voted APC\AD in the previous 2 Elections. Obi won FCT where the APC president lives. Tinubu has largely won where he was expected to do win. Labour has swept the entire SE. Atiku has won around 10 states and I believe has 25% everywhere.

You need to show more than just wailing to back your assertion that people have largely not been allowed their civic rights.

This is what I alluded to earlier, Obidient shoild be doing a victory lap; with all they have accomplished in just 8months... Are there no adults in the house to help these youths reason? When I saw those UI students clip on the vote count; filled me with joy & Hope 93 vibes.

Anyone advising them to go protest is PDP, cos any upturn benefit Atiku and PDP not Labour, imagine rioting to install Atiku SMH. Let the politicians go and protest with their families who have been the immediate beneficiaries, I say this as a youth who witness the aftermath of June12. PDP had 16years to install good electoral procesd & practices they failed, now they are at the receiving end.

Nobody should allow any politician use you as weapons for their own selfish battles, e.g. Rivers is WIKE fighting Atiku & ensuring that he doesn't spend time in Jail for his atrocities - cant blame the man, after all its about self preservation.

The one way to have even prevented the upload of wrong results was to have them uploaded from the polling unit instead of gathering in bulk to start uploading one after the other...las las, this wasn't a case of typical Nigerian inefficiency, it was a clear and obvious sabotage that brought the entire election to disrepute.
Exactly.

The motivation that drove the Obidient movement was hope of a clean election. Everyone hoped that the results would be transmitted at the polling units and so were ready to fight the structure of other parties. Electorates became agents immediately after voting.

The disappointment of this election was that INEC had no excuse for not opening the result portal. This feeling of betrayal has rubbished the faint hope of there ever being a free and fair election in Nigeria.

Proper electronic transmission of results will require much more capital investment and possibly dedicated polling stations. Maybe inec can rent bandwidth from starlink in 2027.

Most of our isps are too flaky to provide a real time reliable connection to the server.

For most of yesterday my airtel was acting up so badly I thought my modem was faulty.

Glo has always been shit.

Swift is good but on Sunday signal kept disappearing. Now imagine you are doing an upload to your inec server and signal is failing every 30 seconds

Well, I don't know the Nigerians you're talking about that would vote for a sick Tinubu in millions after most have realized that APC's Buhari government is one of the worst in Nigeria's history.

We both know the elections were rigged massively by APC. You can deny that in your usual practice and pretend not to know that it's that "rigging" factor that made people like Jarus, Ibime predict a win for the ruling party.

A victory lap for an election that was sabotaged...interesting.

Two things can be done simultaneously and raising issues over the conduct of the elections does not impede the work that is being done to hold the people that got elective positions through the party to account, and consolidate on what was achieved in this election cycle. The work that Obidients did was to have Peter Obi sworn in as president, this was not planned as a trial run.

Na God dey bless. Why not hope that the present government favours you? .

The question on my mind now is, will Wike support the APC gubernatorial candidate or PDP?

If Rivers vote PDP they continue to be opposition. If Wike defects, he becomes opposition in his state.

If Rivers vote APC, Wike loses his state power.

He now has to choose between poison and bullet.

This in extension means d Irev is just design to save files for court or any form of discrepancy cases

Better still... results from manual collation can be called/announced even when the Irev haven't received d results transmitted

Or there is no need for cross-examination bw BVAS and d fabricated results?

So what then is d importance of BVAS...?
