The south is gullible to think that the north will organize a free and fair election then hand over power,if the winner is a southern Christian.
When has a northern president or head of state ever handed power to a southern successor.
Transition of power has always been from a southern leader to a northern leader Viz,: Obasanjo to Shagari, Obasanjo to Buhari, Jonathan to Buhari.
It was the resistance from the highest level of northern power block against Abiola that made IBB not hand over power to him.
Those who don't learn from history are bound to repeat it.

I am not propagating violence,As a good student of history,i already knew that power can never come to the south in the just concluded election, even Peter Obi knew it,but he just want to try his luck.The Yorubas are always at hand to throw spanners into the works.

This is what I was saying,you were too young then to understand,Abubakar being a chief of defense staff and the highest ranking milliary officer then have to take over after the death of General Sani Abacha,that was not a democratically elected government.He then promised to return Nigeria back to civilian rule,which he successfully superintendent,of course they gave it to their stooge;OBJ.
