๐Ÿ’ต ๐Ÿ’ฐ๐Ÿช™ Just as individuals or companies may make purchases on credit or take out a loan to boost their finances, national governments often borrow money to further their country's growth or well-being. When this happens, the money borrowed becomes part of that country's national debt. Stated simply, national debt is the combined debt a country's government owes one or more lenders, such as other governments, various corporations, or even private individuals (such as with treasury bonds). But which countries have the world's highest national debt? The answer to that question merits a bit of explanation.

In terms of raw dollars, the country with the highest debt in the world is unquestionably the United States, whose national debt is more than twice that of any other country.[/color]

Advanced countries, but they don't steal such money, they utilize it well for the good of the people.

In my country Nigeria, we borrow and siphon it.

Small Ghana and Kenya even borrowed more than Nigeria

All these are not so relevant.

The greatest debt of Humanity is the debt JESUS Christ paid on the cross of Calvary where his both hands and feet where nailed to the cross .
He did it not for himself , but that You and I will be saved.

Do not make that Price be a waste. Take advantage of it right now and subscribe to JESUS Christ by Surrendering your life to JESUS.

JESUS Christ is coming. Take advantage it is too late.

Quite unfortunate Nigeria is on the list but in Nigeria nothing to write home about even with the borrowed money tongue

Debts well utilized. Ours goes into the pocket of kleptomaniacs and rogues across party lines and government agencies.

The 'developed' world is living a borrowed life. They are piling up debts for their unborn generation.

I will also add that the citizens of these countries are indebted as well in that order.

Let's start with the USA - most students become debtors just to go to school. They repay student loans all their life.

Let's go to the 101st position- Nigeria has cheaper university fees than Ghana and Kenya.

You people should calm down and speak good things into existence about your country. All you do is wail and wail and cry and cry with zero action zero common sense.

My Erudite Obedients

"I will not vote again"

"I will DESTROY my PVC"

Sorry, you're only playing the game these demons want you to play. You think they did not feel our heat on Saturday?

Do you know how many Political careers where retired by the Obidient movement on Saturday?

For the first time, we saw seating Governor's losing their Senatorial bids. Who would ever believe that Tony Nwoye would defeat Stella Oduah or that Uchenna Okonkwo of Ojoto will defeat Ike Cubana and Ifeanyi Ibezi in any Election.

Would you had believed that Hon. Lynda Ikpeazu would lose to any human in any Election?

If anyone had told me that Chinedu Obidigwe will lose in Anambra East and West, I would have staked everything I have to bet against it.

Should I talk of Ayade of Cross-River or the Chairman of TINUBU's campaign team losing his Senatorial ambition?
These were our achievements on Saturday.

Imagine TINUBU losing Lagos State. You think we didn't send a message? Put a call through to Lagos and hear how APC is afraid of next Saturday. They now know that the people own the state not the godfathers.

Political Revolution doesn't take place in a single Election. Go and study history. It is a gradual but sustained fight.

You think the demons who benefit from they old order will just give up without such final fight like they did through the INEC?

Imagine Governor Ugwuanyi of Enugu State who lost his Senatorial ambition to the Obidient movement on Saturday successfully install the next Governor of Enugu State because you chickened out. He will become the Political godfather of Enugu State and get himself into the Senate in 2027 because you refused to vote.

Imagine Chimaraoke Nnamani winning next Saturday. That will be disastrous. You just dashed TINUBU one Senator in Alaigbo.

Imagine Okezie Ikpeazu successfully installing the next Governor of Abia State... Or Okowa's candidate becoming the next Governor of Delta....
Or Nyesom Wike successfully installing the next Governor of Rivers State

Imagine Sanwolu winning in Lagos. That means the Obidient victory in Lagos last Saturday was a waste.

Imagine Soludo having his way by installing the 30members of ASHA because you felt bad over TINUBU.

I can't just imagine Hope Uzodinma installing all the members of the Imo State House of Assembly.

All politics is local.

Go back to sleep and allow them resurrect their dead careers on the 11th by installing their stooges as Governors and Members of Houses of Assembly in the States.

As we come out to vote this Saturday we are sending another strong message that power belong to the people!! Get up on Saturday dust your PVC once again and come out in mass and vote ๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธ we will all prevail

The journey of a New Nigeria ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฌ is a Marathon

Lies NIGERIA external debt is more than $40b
Re: Countries With The Biggest Debts In The World (Photos) by LandMann: 9:18pm On Mar 03, 2023
The USA tops the list certainly...

They print dollars and then go round the world acquiring people's resources with the dollar they printed. If you dare question the fairness of their action, they will cause political instability in your country, accuse you of crimes you did not commit and even invade your country to overthrow your government and install their puppet... Saddam Hussein and Mumar Gaddafi are still fresh in memory.

I look forward to the day China, Russia, Iran and Indian will agree to only conduct international trade in gold, silver or other precious metals...

African leaders we currently have are too foolish to realise that they need to seriously give education a priority in their countries so that they can build the manpower to sustain a self reliant nation like Gaddafi did for Libya.

Debt is not a problem if it is properly utilized.

In fact, debt is the country's capital for doing business.

But African leaders would rather "eat" it than invest it.
Re: Countries With The Biggest Debts In The World (Photos) by Timekeeper452: 9:18pm On Mar 03, 2023
These debts are only imaginary, at least , that of first world countries like the USA. These debts will get wiped off after another world war and those that survive will rebuild and go back to borrowing once again.

Now I understand the fact that individual borrowing accrues to the national debt

Iโ€™m not suprised about USA because most people live on credit but are living extremely well

Give a lot of credit facilities to Nigerians too and let the economy pick up
Re: Countries With The Biggest Debts In The World (Photos) by victorVIC1(m): 9:18pm On Mar 03, 2023
Unfortunately Nigeria has nothing to show for its current debt profile. Just borrowing huge monies to finance recurrent expenditures
Re: Countries With The Biggest Debts In The World (Photos) by BlessedOne01: 9:19pm On Mar 03, 2023
The USA and other advance societies borrow to make life easier for their citizens by providing welfare and building modern amenities!

But Nigeria and other "3rd world countries" borrow with the sole purpose of "looting" the money!

What an irony!
Re: Countries With The Biggest Debts In The World (Photos) by Tulumbu: 9:19pm On Mar 03, 2023
Buhari moved Nigeria from Top 200 to Top 100

Tulumbu will move Nigeria from Top 100 to top 10
Re: Countries With The Biggest Debts In The World (Photos) by Throwback:
Looks like those without debt are cheating themselves of the funds they could have used for development.

The industrialised countries would just be laughing at 3rd world countries begging for debt forgiveness.

It's like begging a murderer to forgive for stepping on his toes.

Nigeria is acquiring more debts to create more liabilities,in Nigeria's case the more it acquires debts the bigger its problems become.Take a look at the unemployment rate, poverty rate, life expectancy, healthcare and infrastructural development in those nations with biggest debts ahead Nigeria you will see clear differences.
