Relocating To Benin Republic Any Moment From Now by samz77: 10:21am On Mar 03, 2023
I want to relocate from Ibadan where I stay presently to Benin republic. I want to try my luck elsewhere, the economy may not be that bouyant but foods and other basic amenities of life are affordable. So if anyone has the same like minds with me. We can fix time and decide to move together to Benin republic. I know the route a little. You can contact me on my Gmail address alatolait@gmail.com OR drop your watshapp to contact you.

#10k to #15 k should be enough for transport. it shouldn't have reached that amount but money to cross the border is also inclusive and the destination you are going .let's say you want to stop in either Cotonou or capital city Porto nouvo. Porto nouvo is a farther than Cotonou. And this suggest a little increase in transport

Hello guys. I am currently in Benin republic. I came over here last year, around August. I am into teaching work here. Life here is easier than in Nigeria. Most Nigerians here are Igbo people doing business. BTW, I am Igbo myself.
Over here there is steady light, Steady water supply, the streets are well paved and with street light. Security is Good, You can literally walk around by any time of the night you choose without fear of being robbed or anything whatsoever. I am not in Cotonou or Porto Novo, i am in a city called Bohicon and I must mention that i got the work before i came over here.

I don't Speak french and also do not understand but now i am beginning to speak a little, atleast good enough for me to communicate when i want to buy something from a store and also when i want to take a ride to a destination. So, as per language, i am still trying to learn the basics. There are Nigerians here that you can make friends with and they can be helping to put you through the basics.
But when it is critical and i do not know how to speak, i make use of Google translator. Inmade sure i downloaded it before travelling down here.

Well, my monthly take home is 97,000 Franc Cefa.
Basic Salary: 50,000 Franc Cefa.
Lesson fee: 47,000 Franc Cefa ( I have 4 lessons i handle)
It is an English school. So, Most of the Children in the School are Nigerians with few Benenoiuse.
NOTE : The currency here have more value than Naira, so if exchanged, my salary will be above 100,000 naira. And also, i am looking forward to a salary upgrade.

Take that step and trust me, you will not regret it. Sometimes it is fear of the unknown, that makes people not to take a step they wish to take. I do not regret being here and hopefully i will not in time to come.
I tell people that anywhere you are outside Nigeria is better than being in Nigeria. You will not know opportunities you have been missing until you are out of that Shit hole. Other African countries are good to stay especially if you have a business opportunity.

Benin republic is expensive. Goods and basic amenities are not cheap.

You will pay more for water, electricity, fuel, etc there compare to Nigeria.
