Obasanjo did not chase anyone. The work was already done by others, the war was already won. Obasanjo was just a lucky man that there was a reshuffle in the army and he was redeployed to the war front AFTER the war was won. A consequence of this was that he became the one who received the surrender. He did not conquer anybody. Nigerians do not know or understand their history.

He is probably the luckiest Nigerian ever.
