The few yorubas who came back had English or Portuguese names added to their yoruba names. They came back home asking for their people. I know of Babington Macaulay too. He was given that name by his slave master but still retained it . He spoke Yoruba like locals when he came back, Da Roca too, the first Yoruba millionaire. Those who chose to remain there are in Cuba and brazil today and till tiday, they still celebrate our cultures. They also worship ifa till today. Nigerian government and Yoruba leaders always grace their festivals in Brazil via MOFA as a means of identifying with them. No foreigner came to lagos to integrate after the slave trade was abolished.
