I recall that st Etienne match and the Olympiacos defeat at Emirates in same europa seasons back. Will sporting want to attempt that? They look even better. But we better show them class is different from their gragra.

Our recent form at home scares me but with one or two attackers coming back, we should be able to get the job done at the Emirates.

nketiah out, trossard out, odegard out. seriously i'm scared, i love veira but can he up his game against a fullham physical team?, will ESR10 drop to 8 or to the wing?, martinelli up front didn't click for me on thursday, i trust saliba and gabriel at the back. it's just the no.8, no.11 and no.9 position that worries me about sunday. i hope two of the three first team players recover ahead of sunday.

ps: no body said nothing about jakub performance yesterday.

As regarding Kiwior, his positioning during the Cks were very poor. But he has passing game and stamina. It's his 1st game and i think he'll grow into the role so Gabby can rest small. But the two CBs and Turner really hearam from Sporting. Plus the defense lacked covering of Partey 8times in 90mins. Scary moment.

Their attack is sharp, but they are not good in defending, hence those nonsense tackles. I expected someone to go for a pk moment.

Sometimes, Arteta needs to just rest Saka to energise him. Also, he badly needs a deputy. They need to buy someone that's ready to play that wing anytime he needs rest in cup competitions

But seriously, Arteta needs to rest that young man cause our last match, it was kinda glaring that he’s getting tired, but why will Arteta not get anybody to deputise Saka during the transfer window, Nelson is ambidextrous, he should try him on that wing when next our strikers are back and Martinelli is back to his position...

What's even making it pain me more is that the stress us making him to rake up a lil above average performances in europa in last 2 seasons. Infact, the last Europa game i think he was very go was when Pepe was still around. It's that bad. He should be blazing. One might say it's too early to tell but, he should be fresh for Thursday nights.


He needs rest. Arteta should be the wiser one here.

You'll know Saka needs rest when he begins to comit fouls and complain at the linesman in a match.

Dunno, but the Fulham game, he can start from bench. Pep rests Haaland and KDB and it works, Even if we don't have same depth.


Better he rests to end a great campaign than risk injury and start faltering.

We don't know what's going on over there. It might just be saka that insisted he must play. Moreso, Arteta hinted earlier this season that the youngsters will need to get use to playing every 3 days especially in the coming season where we will need their contributions both in the EPL and UCL.
BTW, Arteta would've started integrating Lucky Dube into the team immediately after Marquinhos was loaned out but then there are no fringe matches.

As for backup, I really like Jesper Lindstrom.

That 2 game break might even slow him down. One thing Arteta is Keen about is the fitness level of all his players. That's why the substitutes usually have a training session after the games.
He should have been substituted in games against Leceister, Bournemouth and Everton but we made it tough for ourselves.

Meanwhile, the FA has decided not to take any further action against us after the referee reported us for invading the field after that last minute goal.
