I think man utd gave LFC that form last week
Because with what I am seeing Bournemouth might get something in this match

On the contrary. It will make him even better. He will still train but be on the bench. The rest Pep gave Haaland, Kdb, Mahrez, Grealish have paid off. The energy levels of KdB alone increased. Commentators acknowledged that. BurnOut in itself is a slow down worse than this rest idea.
resting your best players can help them reload and come out better. even martinelli admitted than the rest against leicester was good for him.

That 2 game break might even slow him down. One thing Arteta is Keen about is the fitness level of all his players. That's why the substitutes usually have a training session after the games.
He should have been substituted in games against Leceister, Bournemouth and Everton but we made it tough for ourselves.
Naa.. We have seen this for nearly 3 seasons now. Saka is not going to have a long career at this rate. We are burning him out and will suffer it if we don’t do things differently. Saka’s fitness is different from a player playing fatigued. He should have started from the bench on Thursday considering we had ESR.

Rivalry games are not necessarily a true reflection of form. This is still an open game that Liverpool can win. Bournemouth understand that they need goals to stay in the EPL.

When I say mentality strong, na facts I dey talk.

Arsenal of recent years wouldn't have won the Aston Villa match and certainly not against Bournemouth from 2 goals down even if them dash them another 45min

But seriously, Arteta needs to rest that young man cause our last match, it was kinda glaring that he’s getting tired, but why will Arteta not get anybody to deputise Saka during the transfer window, Nelson is ambidextrous, he should try him on that wing when next our strikers are back and Martinelli is back to his position...
Tbh, he needs rest. At least, he shouldn't be playing that Thurs Europa game.

We need someone to alleviate that overgame play from Saka. Most people who towed this part hardly have long careers. I'm afraid but I just hope Saka have one. If Saka just have long injury laidis, it might affect his growth

What's even making it pain me more is that the stress us making him to rake up a lil above average performances in europa in last 2 seasons. Infact, the last Europa game i think he was very go was when Pepe was still around. It's that bad. He should be blazing. One might say it's too early to tell but, he should be fresh for Thursday nights.

He needs rest. Arteta should be the wiser one here.
I think the best time to rest him was during Europa group stage and some league games where we are winning comfortably but now it'll be difficult.

But he needed that rest on Thurs for Nelson and Esr. My prayer is that he doesn't burn out sha

Saka is Arsenal’s highest goal scorer and has the highest number of assist in the team . Don’t blame Arteta for being overly relying on him .

The 21 year old has been keeping baba’s job , he will definitely squeeze as much game time as he can from the young man.

We don't know what's going on over there. It might just be saka that insisted he must play. Moreso, Arteta hinted earlier this season that the youngsters will need to get use to playing every 3 days especially in the coming season where we will need their contributions both in the EPL and UCL.
BTW, Arteta would've started integrating Lucky Dube into the team immediately after Marquinhos was loaned out but then there are no fringe matches.

As for backup, I really like Jesper Lindstrom.
Lol... True, players will insist to play quite alright but it's the coach's job to manage him.
Na this thing do Fabregas and if you notice his last 2 to 3 seasons here, he was riddled with injuries. All these talk of top players playing 3 days a week is true but top coaches manage their player's 3 days a week well buy not playing them all or every minutes especially if they're youngsters. Me I won't complain if Saka is around 25-29 but he's been overplaying since when he's 18/19 if I'm not mistaken.

We need manage him well Tbh!!
We should just thank God he's a strong boy!

As per Lindstrom, is he a winger? We need strong winger oo, no be all these small small boys like Marquinhos and Duberry.

We need someone with experience in Europe. The way Gabriel have with Kiwior and Martinelli have with Trossard

That our group game run was even disturbing. Lol. And annoying. Made it look like there's nothing special about Mik's approach. The ish is when are we going to turn on the ignition for the Europa League?

From this Thurs I believe.

I don't have problems not turning the ignition on during group stage sha as long as we still top group (which was what we did). Now sha, we're in critical stage of the season and no time for slip ups

we've talked too much about resting our star boy, but i have a quick question.
would you advise arteta to rest saka on thursday against sporting?, would you trust nelson on that wing if nketiah doesn't come up?

Thursday’s result is crucial, so I don’t expect him to be rested. The opportunity to rest him was during the first leg, at least start him from the bench but we missed that chance. Nelson/ ESR could have started with Martinelli as CF.

The kind football Palace is playing is shameful sha.

They are mentally drained.

Total loss of concentration during that corner that led to the penalty.
