BigYash: Here, many betting stations are close to microfinances, ATMS and banks People that don't even know what yellow card means are also playing If you ask them to mention one Nigerian player, they'll mention Kanu At the end, they'll start shouting 'my 1 million' |

Dtruthspeaker: Change what argument? What on earth are you talking about? You are just opinionated on this. You've labelled betting a sin from day one without wanting to know the meaning. That's what is at play here. Look up the word 'stealing'.... you refused. So enlightening you on it is gonna be near impossible. |

Kobojunkie: Oh! It's a biz. Do you know how the stock market works? For your info, it's basically gambling. Now I admit, to many Christians, "what I don't like, and that I don't do, and that I don't understand must be a sin", then they look for some nebulous scriptures to justify such. Exactly what is being done here. The op states that gambling is a sin because it is a profit from other's losses. A company's stock is dependent on the company's growth, which is based on its market share, which is usually based on killing or stealing from the market of competing companies, which leads to losses by some other institutions/individuals. Got the picture? |

Aemmyjah:. No be small Kanu o.. Winning sport bet is basically luck, and little stats.. I have heard of cases where people pick games as their instinct directed them, and boom they became millionaires. Sport bet makes some rich and makes some broke beyond redemption But adding juju,na waste of time.. Juju man go just use the person cashout |
Re: Is Gambling A Sin? by Kobojunkie: 9:31am On Mar 12, 2023 |
elnegrodeafriqu:1. Business itself is gambling as it is all about playing a game of chance, pretty much like much of what is life. 2. I am not here to hold briefs for the OP and others who seek to put words in God's mouth for the sake of being right in their way. |

Dtruthspeaker: Lol. No road. The reason i said you're opinionated. So need to argue anymore. And don't say we both knew. You alone don't know the meaning of stealing till now. If you did, you won't call betting stealing. And there wouldn't have been need for the long talk. |

Re: Is Gambling A Sin? by Dtruthspeaker: 9:56am On Mar 12, 2023 |
AZControversial: No don't argue anymore. Arguments must have an end and they end when one of the opponents can not counter. No one can justify sin for God has Said He will never justify it. |
Re: Is Gambling A Sin? by Brooktrader: 10:06am On Mar 12, 2023 |
Jokanem: Op, the bible does not explicitly say gambling is a sin or that it's immoral. However, from experience, I'll tell you that gamblers are liable to lose money, time, sanity, morality on the long run In one of Paul's letters to the people of Corinth. "All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient" Gambling a risky action undertaken with the hope of success. You mentioned "Forex" ...think of what those mallams do when you exchange your dollar for naira or vice versa. Do you call that gambling? Well, that's Foreign exchange aka Forex. The digital aspect of it is what you're aware of which people out of greed, inadequate knowledge, etc have made it look like gambling. If you're a business person, the business you currently is risk bound. That's a gamble. The degree of uncertainty is however what makes it advisable or not. |

elnegrodeafriqu: Have you been out of Nigeria? When you switch your naira to USD or any other currency, that'll depend on the exchange rate for that time (mins, hours, days as the case maybe) if the equivalent amount exchanged is higher than the original amount exchanged, would you say you've stolen? |
Re: Is Gambling A Sin? by OKOSISIBF: 10:28am On Mar 12, 2023 |

Re: Is Gambling A Sin? by Brooktrader: 10:38am On Mar 12, 2023 |
Aemmyjah: How can you not take risks as a businessman? That's gambling There are however risk evaluation and management departments in business enterprises. Unrealistic gambling is what kills.. the likes of sports bookmarkers, casinos... The risk management isn't feasible as the likes of trading stocks, forex, CFDs, etc. The later however can turn to gambling when there's no risk evaluation and management. |

Re: Is Gambling A Sin? by titusmichael27(m): 10:45am On Mar 12, 2023 |
Kobojunkie: The problem here is that you don't have faith in God. Learn to trust God in all things and your life will never remain the same. Have you ever wonder how this babies are formed and fed for a period of nine months in their mothers womb through umbilical cord? You can't do any about this, it's not your call , so learn to know your limit and after learn to trust in God. Don't gamble because you think you can be a God . |
