| We Should Be Demanding For “E-Collation”; And Not IREV-Portal Photos Of Results by BluntCrazeMan(op): 2:22pm On Mar 13, 2023 |
I really don't know why we still think that the INEC’s “IREV-Portal” is the Game-Changer when it comes to the current electoral settings... Whereas it is supposed to be the INEC’s “E-Collation-System” that we should be seeing as the main Game-Changer here.. Then, it can be backed-up with the IREV-Portal. And the truth is that,, the INEC’s “E-Collation-System had already been procured by the INEC Long ago, and it had been used successfully by the INEC on many occasions.. They call it CSRVS -- meaning: “Collation Support and Results Verification System”... Yet we were busy demanding to have a little few of the remaining crumbs that fall off the table (i.e, the uploading of photos of results to the IREV-Portal),,, whereas we kept missing the main thing, which is the immediate transmission to the “E-Collation-System”, which is supposed to immediately collate all the transmitted Polling-units Results, and make the e-collated results quickly and readily available to all the Wards and LGAs, which would then be used for the Verification and Confirmation of all the Collated Results -- Starting from all the various Wards and LGAs nationwide. Before taking the photographs of the result-sheets for uploading them into the IREV-PORTAL, the polling-units results are first-of-all keyed-in (or entered-in) into the ELECTRONIC TRANSMISSION APP (which is inside the BVAS-Machine) by the Presiding Officers at the various Polling-units, which then transmits directly to the E-Collation-System for immediate collation. The INEC’s “E-Collation-System” (that is, the CSRVS) is what we should seriously be demanding for at this point in time. INEC had already used this CSRVS-System in the EKITI and Osun Elections, and it worked very well. **(Frankly speaking... The actual reason why the INEC decided not to use it in the Presidential Election is what I really cannot fathom..) |

Me, as an ICT analyst, with BVAS we can vote directly from the BVAS machine screen and it transmit automatically into cloud server to eliminate ballot papers thumbprint, anything Manually written except signature from BVAS machine voting result printout. The PU officers will be giving limited password right where the machine will be configure what ever input go in can't be edit or delete. Ward collection centers should be eliminated completely this where the entire rigging take place. |

Well.. The much we know is the much we can express.. INEC didn't do much to sensitize the people on the happenings that happen after the voting had ended... (Well,, for reasons best known to them though) |

It was in use until the 'network glitch' happened. The e-collation for presidential election was in progress until after 6,000 PU units were uploaded. |

.. As things are right now,, it is very clear to everyone that the only thing we need in this country at this critical time of our existence, Is FULL ELECTRONIC VOTING.. Where human input is reduced to the barest minimum We now seriously need Electoral Systems where human beings are just there to control the queue.. Every other form of accreditation, and sorting, and counting, and collation, and computation would be totally done by the system,, with ZERO human interference.. .. |

mployer:What a shame.!! The INEC must not tell us such a story this coming Saturday ooo.. As for the Werey Glitch,, they should be explaining that to the Tribunal.... Whether there should be excuses entertained inside the Electoral Act when it made it clear that collated results MUST BE VERIFIED with the Transmitted Results.. |

BluntCrazeMan:Inec decision to abandon e-collation of results is not a violation of electoral law or the constitution. Inec as an independent body must remain independent in making and alternating Thier guidelines. Good afternoon. Inec has granted obi's legal team access to information. It's an absolute exercise in futility. What's your tske on this? |

Jokay07:Read the first emboldened part again. Like, the rest of the Nigerians are Zombies? So that INEC can wake up at the middle of the night and introduce anything,, or cancel anything.?? Well.. Since the tribunal process has commenced... Let them do what they had to do. Both the INEC and all the Legal Teams.. It's all part of what must be done -- at least, for now |

Abfinest007:The system they had been using,, and all of a sudden, they didn't use it in the Presidential Election, and then,, a lot of results got manipulated as a result of that same GLITCH.. |

transparency is the watchword. a good system with a clown managing it would produce bad outcomes. electoral offenders need not just to be only punished but barred from participating in politics. |

Unfortunately neither INEC nor Nigeria has the IT infrastructure to enable, e collation directly from the polling units. |

otokx:But the IT Infrastructure had already been procured and put in place. It was used in the Ekiti and Osun Governorship Elections.. So, what exactly are you saying here please.?? |
