Most of the old notes have been shredded and that leaves us with an overburdened e-banking system. 3 Likes |

Why would any sane person want to go directly to banks to deposit cash into their personal accounts? In this period of cash deficiencies? If you feel you have excess cash, I suggest patronising POS agents. Most of them would pay you up to 10% interest for just depositing the money with them. 4 Likes |

iwaeda: I will encourage nairaland.com editors to check news items to be posted for propaganda news against free circulation of the old and new Naira notes together. It is indeed true that some Nigerians are not happy for a free circulation of the old and new Naira notes together as it will stop their business of reselling either notes for gains. To these people the sufferings of the Nigerian people doesn't concern them. They are the despicable lots in the Nigerian landscape. These people are very busy turning out negative stories about the difficulties people face to get the money but in their mindset what they carried the News with the hope that reader will get signals all over the country and hence discouraged free flow of the old and new Naira notes. These are the people that condemned the supreme court justices for their prompt judgements and intervention. They are currently very busy seeking means to reduce the free flow of money. |

onyxo76: The purpose of the "redesign" was to confiscate cash across the country. There was never really a redesign project. It was a naira notes removal project. The Central Bank governor's plan is to eliminate cash, and enforce a cashless policy across the country. |
