monerozi5590:If what Buhari used to build the so called infrastructure is borrowed money, then it is not an achievement. In fact it is incompetence under cover up. Anybody can borrow to build including you. In terms of social investment, if the money used was not generated but borrowed, it makes no sense at all. Jonathan introduced Sure P, which Buhari metamorphosed to NPower. NPower looks better on paper but when you hear Mrs Sadiya Farouq say things like she fed 60million school children with trillions of naira, you know why NPower was formed. Because I have personally gone round to ask for a single child who told me he ate lunch in school and found none. So on that both Jonathan and Buhari are on par. Encouraging local production is the same as rice revolution. That was a good intention by Buhari but he probably failed in its execution. I think nepotism spoilt every thing. Rice revolution at what cost and whose benefit? During the time of Jonathan, rice was 8000 per bag, now it's 40,000. Enough said. The summary of the Buhari government is that 133million people were thrown into poverty, according to NBS. If this does not ring a bell in your head... |

Amoto94:See how you can't help yourself in replying me after claiming I'm not worth the time. Now how can I take whatever you say serious? 😁 I can't even ask you to do better because it is an impossibility. Like asking an ekuke to act like a Caucasian shepherd. Both are dogs but well one is without value🤭 |

Spy360:Till now, i still try to understand how this is an achievement. Someone takes loans to build roads, and the people see it as Einstein-esque. How? One moment, Nigeria is broke and in debt. The next moment, we are celebrating borrowing loans to build roads. Hell-O- Hell |

Amigoss:It's good things like this are happening, enough of the fake kumbaya or tolerance, it'd help the respective regions take regional development more seriously. |

Theflint1:Lmaooo again its not good to go this way. I keep saying that if the ND region decides to Bleep everybody up by as much as regulating their oil, it will be lights out for alot of states. And again if let's say fight does break out because of stupid things like this, forget how the numbers look e nor go easy for anybody and na the States wey dey fight go suffer am in the end. These things are not straight forward |

izzou:Well... most infrastructure is constructed using loans. That's why we have toll gates. For loan repayment over an extended period. Businesses are built on debt. We are going to be paying dangotes debt once his refinery comes on stream. You can only finance with cash if you are rolling in money like in the 70s. (Problem not money but how to spend it). Your other option is BOT agreements. It seems there may be a new cold war brewing. Iran, China, Saudi, Russia vs the west If this is so then expect much more generous loans in the future, as the world powers look for alignment from lesser nations. At the very least maybe we get some reprieve on those China infrastructure loans |

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by larride(m): 11:49am On Mar 17, 2023 |
izzou:All countries borrow money to build loans, borrowing is not really a bad thing as long as you can show what you used the borrowed money to do. We have an unbelievable amount of infrastructural deficits and it's a no brainer that we borrow to finance these infrastructural development. The real achievement is that the borrowed money is not being looted. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 11:50am On Mar 17, 2023 |
liveLongNprospa:Because of the way Nigeria is structured, it'd be difficult to achieve the bolded without another pogrom. However, I expect more of this open animosity will make people take development in their respective states and regions seriously and monitor the sort of bills their reps are assenting to. If there's anything this Peter Obi movement has done is reawaken the political and social consciousness of a lot of persons down South, hopefully, it translates to sensible electoral choices. |

Donjazet2:Did you question prosper his aim for bringing anything he brought here? Why did you not write epistle to condemn what he posted as you do whenever you hear Lagos and your prick suddenly becomes erect? Look into the mirror |

larride:I am not condemning the act of posting it here, but the intentions. It's not long ago it was discussed here that APC is weaponizing state agencies for political gains, he barely commented on it and did as if he didn't see it. Then today he brought that of Enugu without adding any opinion so I'm questioning his exact intentions or motives here. What is bad for A is bad for B. That's my own stand. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 11:58am On Mar 17, 2023 |
OkpaNsukkaisBae:Yea, they have to be competent...LP can be a vehicle for political good down South, Peter Obi, GRV and other guys involved in the LP project need realize this and ensure that only the best makes it through the party ranks going forward. |

Donjazet2:Like I said before, look into the mirror first. Did you ask prosper for the intentions behind anything he post here? So the message is no longer important, we should now focus on the intentions ehn Mr Donjazet? If you want to condemn something, condemn it and stop asking us what's his intentions for posting it because it doesn't sit with your bias. Carry your hypocrisy to the back of the line. |

Amoto94:I hope he does this, we had too many persons going from selling recharge cards to occupying sensitive national positions they were ill-equipped for under Buhari's government. I won't hold my breath on this though, BAT would most likely have in his government mostly politicians posing as technocrats and the few technocrats, absolute thieves. I fear BAT's government won't attract enough well-intentioned Nigerians. |
