Good morning Nairalanders, I'm in a dilemma as to what to do with my life after service.
I graduated with a 2:1 in Chemistry and I'm currently serving in the south.
I'm thinking of either applying for direct entry to study Pharmacy or going ahead with my Masters ..
I need sincere advice and contributions

I will only advise you to be careful in the north.

About the course, you can continue it...but you have to start building your connections now.

Hello you smart human being. Congratulations for graduating grin
We suggest asking yourself the following questions to help you decide:
1. Am I passionate about being a pharmacist?
To answer this, you'll have to know the low-down on what it takes to become a good pharmacist. It's not easy (like everything in life) so you have to make sure you're passionate enough to overcome every obstacle you might face on your way.

2. Is going back to university worth it?
Here, we'd like you to consider your goals in life, the things you want to achieve before/after clocking a particular age. If going back to university will affect the achievement of such goals, you need to ask yourself if it's really worth it. Also consider the finances involved if you go back to uni.

3. Where will I have better job opportunities (and a better paycheck)?
This should have been the first question, to be honest.

We hope this helps!

Op either options ain't bad.
I have known not less than 7 persons that got fully funded scholarship straight to PhD with a degree in Chemistry. I know such opportunities exist especially in the US. The question is what do you want?

From initially saying ''there is no job for Pharmacists in Nigeria'', you jumped to 'Pharmacy is difficult and expensive' immediately your first statement was challenged

You guys should stop being self-appointed experts on areas you don't have much information.

Hi, I'm a female 2nd yr student in pharmacyD, I got in through the ijmb program recently and have no clue on the course apparently.
My mom although wants me to read medicine so that means I will have to write jamb again but my dad is ok on me reading pharmacy

Please I need advice
Is Pharmacy worth it in Nigeria?
Are jobs available during and after internships
What is the salary range for both clinical and community pharm
Are there other areas in pharmacy I should know about?
I'm not planning on the abroad stuffs so don't bother about the opportunities abroad
Should I listen to my mom and read medicine

Please I would love to hear about your experience, from both interns, pharmacist, Students with proofs and even doctors

I will be grateful for your help, Thanks
