Bello Matawalle misbehaved, miscalculated, misunderstood his people, underperformed, was ungrateful to the PDP, lacked proper political strategy and the influence of the 3 past governors is nothing to write home about.

The Zamfara people are wiser in electing their leaders, you can't buy them. The bandits killing them on a daily basis has given them enough reason to be smart with their votes.

Dauda is very popular, a philanthropist. He sponsored up to 120 Zamfara indigenes to study various degree and master programmes at the Iheris University in Togo. A great employer of labour. He constructed schools, road and hospitals for his people.

He wasn't voted. He benefitted from the Supreme Court order removing APC.

Zamfara has always been PDP. Mattawalle simply took the mandate of the people to APC. It has now returned to the rightful owners.

APC swept it clean in 2019 only for the Supreme Court to remove them in all positions and declare PDP candidates winner.
