![]() My own political party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, might challenge several of the results in pursuit of justice. While we will take all necessary legal steps to recover the seats we believe that APGA won especially in Anambra state but were mistakenly called for other parties, we also know that several of the announced “winners” from other parties are “APGA-nized” and are patriotic citizens of the State. We therefore expect a progressive House of Assembly that will partner with us to continue the transformation agenda. - Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo ....................................................................................... raumdeuter:Our options are limited given lack of security and electricity but there are one or two. Our competitive advantage is large workforce, proximity to Europe and English speaking population. First thing would be to focus on tropical cash crops where harvesting is not properly mechanised, thereby giving us the advantage of cheap labour ie crops you pick rather than harvest with machines. These would be things like Cashews and Palm Oil which require a lot of human labour and fit our soils. Our elders were not wrong in turning us into the world's foremost Palm Oil producer Other advantages are tropical conditions and the possibility of flooding our fields in Niger Delta for water intensive crops like rice or almonds. There are lands in our area where water comes and goes and proper irrigation could turn these into paddies or fish farms. Most of our Mussels in Europe come from Chile, something that grows naturally in Niger Delta and we have perfect conditions for Mussel farms, and again is labour intensive Apart from that, all those banana etc should not be going from far away South America to Europe and Middle East when we can beat them on distance economy. Again, this is labour intensive work, and we have cheaper labour than the South Americans plus better fuel economy to get it to European markets Then longer term when we get our electricity right, you have IT and telephone helpline support economy as an English speaking nation, something India have mastered, selling only their ability to speak English and the soft skills of some portion of their population |

Spy360:Lagos is a Yoruba land and guess what? I’m Yoruba. A full fledged one. I know it eats you up badly that you are not Yoruba, you must sleep and have wet dreams about Yoruba land. Sorry to wake you up from your delusions, no matter how much you dream about it, Yorubas own Lagos and I’m a proud one. If me and you come out tomorrow to contest election tomorrow in Lagos, we all know who they will tell to go back to his village. It definitely ain’t me. ![]() |

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by wman(m): 11:02pm On Mar 21, 2023 |
Really don't see the noise about Peter Obi's court case. Hopefully something good comes from it. But Tinubu's legal team aren't foolish. They might be supporting an evil guy, but they aren't foolish. As for FBI and DEA testifying, that one will never happen. Obidients are too fond of premature jubilations. On the other hand, APC guys are more silent and strategic about their evil plans. |

Ibime:I think the new constitution amendment moving power from executive to concurrent list is going to help the country fix the issue of electricity if our leaders at the state level get their shit together. I’m sure Lagos is already working out a plan already, hopeful other states play their part also. |

larride:An Igbo guy almost got me jailed years ago as I ignorantly helped him, not knowing he was into crime. That still didn't stop me from associating with good ones among them. One of my best years was spent in the east and I have gone there multiple times after my NYSC. They should check themselves, Yorubas don't hate them but their I-Before-Others moves, that know no boundary. |

airmark:There are good and bad people in every tribe likewise we have the reasonable and the extremist in every tribe also. I did my Nysc also in Ebonyi and I think I’ve shared my experience on NL before. It was a mixture of good and bad, just like everywhere had it’s good and bad. I have no issue with any tribe whether Igbo, Hausa or Ibibio like Disstroy ![]() What I will never agree or accept is calling Lagos a no man’s land. That nonsense must stop. |

larride:Electricity still needs to be created from something so whether states can afford to burn fuel to create it is another matter In.our area, we have many oil wells that just flare off the gas while collecting the crude oil. I don't know what the Engineers would say about the feasibility of stopping these wells and restarting them, as they were not designed with the intention of extracting gas. However there is potential to create production zones around these wells where the gas is turned to electricity on the spot to feed an industrial zone created nearby. Then attract all those Aba boys to.come and start producing in these zones with the free electricity. Even mining power for Bitcoin miners sef on the assumption they produce more electricity than an Industrial zone can consume. In other words, we don't necessarily have to fix electricity throughout the country, but can build industrial zones around the oil wells that currently flare gas. There are few near my village that are just burning non stop. One burns directly from the ground, just like hellfire. |
