But their conscience was at ease when they were trying to exploit the boy.

If this had gone under the radar of the UK authorities,he would have donated the kidney then they give him just low 4 figures of us dollars or pounds and dump him back to Nigeria.
I'm not excusing what Ekweremadu did. I will never support the exploitation of anyone's body organ for financial reasons.

But from what I gathered (though unconfirmed), it was already clear that the boy's organ was not going to be a match and was slated to be returned back to Nigeria.

With this Ekweremadu story,You should just know there are other thousands of such shoddy, inhumane and heartless businesses from Nigeria political class.

Let that Karma bite him hard. He is a Nigerian, he will serve his time, return to Nigeria and continue to be a politician.

We have an endless list of shameless politicians who were convicted and served jail time in foreign countries and some of them returned and won elections..

The last time I checked Dapo Abiodun was convicted and served jail time for fraud in the US but is Governor of Ogun State today.

Let him suffer small, we all know Nigeria has no shame. He will return to a welcome party that will be attended by serving and former Senators, HOR, Governors and other politicians will attend. We are a shameless country, we no dey hide am.
When they organize the welcome party, make dem invite me sha.

And why do you think, according to the BBC report, the boy was to be returned to Nigeria after they found out that he was no match after all after they had initially promised the boy opportunities in the UK for being of help?

If these people were in their own countries, larride would tell them to go to their own land and contest.

Maybe nigerians are now taking over the no man's land of Georgia.

I don't know her or have ever met her but putting my emotions aside she didn't do anything extra ordinary from what Enugu REC did or other RECs from other states just that her case was peculiar and INEC told her what she should do so where is the "extraordinary praises" coming from
Same thing I said Yesterday bruv :

DontBullshitMe:
You are also letting Twitter "Propaganda" shape narratives for you. She didn't stand out or anything, she was not the first to reject results on grounds of inconsistency nah.

In this 2023 election, several RECS have rejected election results from LG/constituents with padded and inflated votes.

On top of my head, I remember that the initial results from Okowa's LG in the Presidential results was outrightly rejected by Delta's Returning officer. So many Returning officers did similar thing, nothing special.
Nigerians get too excited easily. Add to how influential popular Twitter narratives have become, the moment the celebration of the woman became a thing on Twitter, Everyone began to lap it up.

There were some REC's that proved to be more courageous than she is in this election cycle sev. But since they were not instrumental to Labour Party's victory, no one cares I guess? Lol

So, if someone reneges on a promise, the best thing to do is to send him and his family to prison to benefit your life ?

What Ekweremadu did or attempted to do is wrong and illegal. At the same time, the boy is not entirely blameless.

The whole noise about Abia is a bit funny anyway.

If Abia state is badly governed, which states are been properly governed in Nigeria then?

Nigerians and self deceit. SMH. cry
have you been to other states in Nigeria? For 8 years, his achievement was domino pizza in Aba. Several northern states have way more better infrastructure just their poverty

Abia is doing better economically than all the 19 Northern states individually.

Ekweremadu has been found guilty. This is wild!

I hope the boy is okay with risking about 3 people's freedom to make asylum claims?

Will his conscience be at ease at all? Sending 3 people to prison for you to stay back in UK is . . . . . shocked shocked

I hope the Judge is compassionate in sentencing.
The boy will get asylum in UK due to Ekweremadus influence back home

Ekweremadu should have taken the surgery to India. UK is a pace of laws

What about his relatives?

They won't be permanently safe in Nigeria. Their continuous stay in Nigeria is a risk.

No. It is not.

By major economic indices, Abia state is doing better than all 19 Northern states individually when you factor their economic performance in comparison with each state's population.

Why should the judge be compassionate in sentencing? Do you many how many people have died over the years for the looting activities of senators like Ekweremadu in their constituencies due to lack of good hospitals and adequate medical care?

It's their karma.

You guys should stop saying there's poverty in the north. Poverty is everywhere in Nigeria. We don't like it when people say that. Is an insult to us.
