And that subsection you mentioned is in present tense when you look at the opening statement of the subsection. This means the person is currently under a fine a prison sentence. The next subsection then extends this to a period within the last ten years.

The mistake you guys are making is the so called letter from the embassy here in Nigeria, let Mr Tinubu travel down to the United States of America and go and get sane fro the state of Chicago Illinois were the issue took place not from some embassy staffs in Nigeria.

If the University is coming to testify they will come with the original documents he used to apply for the admission which I believe will include his DOB, Place of Birth, Birth Certificate, Record of Primary and Secondary School attended and Results obtained, Name of Parents.

Based on bolded above I believe supreme court or tribunal will discard one of Peter Obi's and Labour Party's prayers relating to this issue of Tinubu being indicted or convicted in the past because it happened over 20 years ago whereas the constitution sets a 10 years limit

This should be the case if he himself have acknowledge it or filled it when the form was given him. Like, any criminal record before? Don't forget one of the prayers is falsification of information/record provided. So, they might be coming from different angles

I'm just hearing now from you that one can just pay a fine of this hugh amount when not convicted or guilty as plea bargain... Or you don't understand the value of that amount over 20yrs ago

There is no new evidence. The Americans are not stupid. They keep all records and will not lose sight of anything within human possibility. They had written since 2007 that there’s no records of criminal convictions, indictments, fines etc against Tinubu. But your lawyers must eat. It’s time to cash out on Obi.

I have already replied the ignorant OP. Nobody can settle out of court or plea bargain in a drug case. He must go to prison. Tinubu was not convicted nor fined. This is a wild goose chase.

That is a lie. Forfeiture is always after conviction. The drug convict goes to jail and then forfeits the property and money, this is called proceeds of crime. Many of you are not enlightened.
