Did thugs come out to openly threaten voters in Kano or Katsina? Or will police have watched on while thugs loyal to APC make open threats in those places?

You just said it all population of kano and lagos is not up to 25m
SLAP44:
Sir, I don't agree with you, so many of the people who got new voters cards already had voters cards in other places, and sometimes, in the same locations. I know of people who are registered in more than one place, and they were being contacted to come vote in the other location.

I understand apathy during the governorship elections, but the presidential elections had people coming out in heavy numbers, and yet the figures were still very poor.

I think IREV cut people to size and exposed the likely population of Nigeria if we're to do a proper headcount and not this allocation of figures as guided by the NBS.
Re: Governors Ranked According To Number Of Votes Gotten by Ventura1: 10:14am On Mar 27, 2023
I agreed, we should use NIN for subsequent voting.

LegendHero:
Population figure in Nigeria is a big lie.

We are not up to the 250million people alway say.

As per this BVAS, it helped reveal some of the issue with the voters registration figures. Aside the fact of multiple registration and etc, most politician in their states inflate the vote figures by writing it which explain why states churn out massive vote in the past compared to the current low votes.

Our population is over hyped and I’m sure without biometric census, we will still have the same problem of politician and states inflating the figures.

If no biometric will be involved, NPC should not bother conducting any census coz it will be waste of money and resources.

Census is a must. As long as you live in the country, you will be counted (unless you go into hiding).

Voting on the other hand is not a must. It's by choice.
Out of 500 people, 100 can decide to get voters card.
Of the 100 registered voters, 5 people may decide they will vote. It doesn't invalidate the actual population of 500 people.

Calm down, your analysis doesn't make any sense. The population of the country is high and can't be based on just a few over 18 year olds voting.

guru that beat fact and know everything. ITK GO KILL U. In lagos alone over 7million over 18 registered. And two parent will be busy giving birth yo four/five children. How many under 18 do u think we have in Nigeria.

Abi under 18 are not part of the population. And not even upto 60% of the over 18 will register for voters card. I still know countless of people that haven't registered for voting before

Your argument is too theoretical. First the Nigeria election can never record maximum number of voters registration because of apathy. Just like what happened in the last election. The idea of double registration does not gather water because BVAS already eliminated people with double or triple registration. Lastly, there was votes allocation and suppression from INEC.

Exactly... Census will be worst

To be Honest. I don't think we're up to 150 million in Nigeria.
Total number of NIN registrations is a little more than 100 million. from (2011 till date).

And yes, they will inflate CENSUS. in fact I'm seeing 300 m populations. So many things are involved.

1. it'll give Nigeria bragging rights among other nations. 😂😂

2. Many Nigeria states will also want to increase their figures as bragging rights. I'm sure they'll allocate 30M for Lagos which I'm definitely sure Lagos no reach 15 M.

3. I don't see any difference in our census. The states from the highest populations to lowest will remain the same but wit significant allocated populations
I agree with you too.

I saw figures from the 1993 elections. Do you know that many states in Nigeria have been unable to replicate those figures ever again despite the population increasing and population of voters increasing as well?

That was 30yrs ago, and yet some states can't even get the 500k+ they got in 93(unless of course, figures were bloated)

But that proves the point.

Since 2007, less than 30% of population have been deciding the elections. Now they said 87m collected PVCs. But only 23m total were valid votes out of the 87. 87 is already 1/3 of so called total. Then 23m again is 1/3 again of the PVC total.

Many states have 500k for 2019 and despite the sensitization and etc, same states are recording less that 250k for presidential and gubernatorial.

I think two things are obvious!!

Election Figures are very exaggezrated and the population is also exaggerated as well.

You are right. I have registered in Lagos more than 4 times...and each time I go on Inec site, I still get to see all of my registration. The last one I had to transfer it to another state and I received it. Next year, I would transfer another to another state. The interesting thing is that I use slight different DOB and phone number, but I expected them to determine that I have registered before through finger print capture, but they haven't. Some many people here in the north have multiple voters card. This is not rumour I have seen with my eyes. Next time I would see if I register afresh here in the north too.

Get the number of registered voters in your state and let's know the actual number of those that voted

It cuts across Nigeria.

Companies and religious institution compelled their people to get PVC in Lagos many don't actually believe in Nigeria electoral process causing wide spread political apathy during election
The guy is right. We are no where near 200 million in population in Nigeria. The census figures are bogus and doesn't represent the reality.
See, I've monitored elections in many states in Nigeria and I can boldly tell you registered voters should be at most, 50% of what we have now.
In many places in the North for instance, a larger percentage of registered voters are minors. You don't need to be told. The photos would reveal that. Same thing goes for the census.
Can you explain why are whole of Jigawa was carved out of Kano and Kano it's still the most populous state in Nigeria, while Jigawa itself has more population than Kwara state?

Will you force someone to be counted. Who will count the wives of those alhaji in the north that doesn't come outside. They would sit the NPC workers outside and give them figures. How will they capture the face of an eleya...whose face can only be seen by her husband. Make una dey play...una never serious for this country.
