Na so Brazil clean out the favelas abi?
It is not like the government of Brazil loves the favellas...if they had a choice, they would have long cleared them out since.(Keeping order there requires routine deployment of the army many times)

Though, the problem with clearing out slums is, it is a complicated thing.

In the 1950's, the USA cleared out slums in New York, and built new housing complexes, into which they moved in the people who lived in the slums. Within a few years, those new areas had become messed up. Same issue in countries like Italy, France even Holland.

Still has a long way to go....if they can clean out the slums and then extend the raillines all the way to Epe and Badagri..plus bring in Lagos underground rail....then we can start talking
That is very possible if and only if there is continuity in government projects. We still don't know if GRV would have continued with the Lagos master plan drawn up. With Sanwolu, it is sure. If only successive governments would continue with projects their predecessors began. Travel all over Nigeria, from Port-Harcourt to Kaduna, abandoned projects everywhere just because successive governments want to chart a new course for themselves, a course that will be discontinued after they've left office.

In as much as it's a good development but I see that this blue rail is quite outdated
In fact, very outdated when you compare it with the ones the developers constructed in ABA or ihiala.

You are right. I was a bit casual with all these until I started paying close attention to the projects. The pace is slow but history will definitely be kind on the likes of Buhari, Sanwo-Olu, Wike and many others. We complain a lot as a people and that is fine but it takes nothing away from us to celebrate the few good things happening around us.

There is a Youtube video on the top quality work put into 2nd Niger Bridge on 'orders directly from above' as a Buhari signature project, our people don't see things like that because some people seize the narratives with the sole aim of poisoning people's mind to drive their own agenda.

The dream of every Nigerian is too see all the 36 states and FCT well developed to such level that you don't have a problem relocating to any part of Nigeria. We want all our states to keep growing and each one to be business friendly! Local politics is not the challenge, we leave local politics to the locals, all we want is safe and business friendly towns and cities everywhere in Nigeria!

Students and Pupils also joined in test running the BLUE LINE Rail built by the Lagos State Govt, which runs from Marina to Mile 2 … The Test run continues for different groups of people across the State, to familiarize Lagosians with the Rail system.

Google about the gas turbine projects governor's have built in Nigeria.. Some governor's have built gas turbines in the past.

Although they can't distribute it directly by law...

Some Governor's have been building gas turbines.

Na distribution be the new thing Buhari add to that law.

Distribution is the work of disco's.

The disco's will do it for the government...

Can state government even handle disco's?

Mind you the state will get paid, no be free...

Is Buhari not even complicating things?

A government should embark on projects like when their is 247 power supply..

And good investment in industrialization process.

The smart Chinese government still invest in industrialization and good businesses. The west on the other hand adopted and opportunitie and today they are paying the price.

China has taken over.

Government must invest in businesses, government must build factories.

Let's learn from China and not the west.
Rather, government must support small businesses to built local factories, after stabilising uninterrupted power supply.

...yes it's true ...government should first of all provide a conducive environment for bussinesses, companies to strive, excel and expand .. so as to create jobs for nigerians and the youths and boost the economy...provide constant electricity light, make refineries to work, boost the agriculture sector, local government autonomy, strengthen the naira for naira to have more value than the dollars before going into railway... make the economy to be good and better first... reduce poverty hunger hardship unemployment inflation

It's fine, it's a great project, but it came at the wrong time.

Imagine powering the various terminal's with generator and the various consequences?

This rail line can't even serve up to 50k people per day, it can't generate up to 100k isd per day, yet it has gulped $2 bilion.

The $2 billion USD would have been used to build a world class has turbine that will provide 247 electricity for Lagosians. That will in turn create lots of revenue for the state and also trigger the industrialization process of Lagos State.
If not that you are suffering from psychiatric disorders and mental imbalance, then you will show us the one your consecutive useless state governors built with $1 million
