Democracy is about numbers, in politics you build bridges, alliances and most importantly trust not sow division and hate.....especially if you dont have the numbers to threaten or bluff.

If outsiders trust you they will fight for you. SW is president today because the North fought for the SW, that is a result of trust. It would have been easier for many Norther politicians governors etc to stick with the North but many even risked their political careers as evidenced by the number of Nirthern politicians who lost their elections or states to ensure a SW president. The SW could not have done it on its own or by abusing everybody…that is trust, that is alliance and when the time comes to repay the SW will do the right thing. That’s how partnerships work.
