But the fact is convenant advertises itself, packages itself and presents itself as a christian university. And practising aggressive Christianity is at the centre of its existence.

If you decide you must go there, you clearly will not identify as a Muslim for the period you are there.

The examination is not to enter into Covenant. It's jamb exam and the students were posted there to write the exam. If covenant were not comfortable hosting all students writing jamb then it shouldn't have accepted to be an exam center. The students did nothing wrong.

I wonder why this simple thing flew over a lot of people's head, the students didn't choose the center for themselves JAMB selection system did that for them. Any Muslim who deliberately choose to school in a Christian school that states clearly in their rule book dos and donts will have himself to blame for whatever ill-treatment he receives. However, you cannot advertise as a non-sectarian school and deny students freedom of worship.

As at the time the interview was conducted he wasn’t holding any political office , 1999 elections which he won to become Lagos governor didn’t happen until February 1999.

At that time most people didn’t even think Nigeria will have 24 years of uninterrupted democracy till date . There was really no motivation for politicians to put their best foot forward ; that’s why u see a lot of certificate scandal happen in the early 2000’s . Na that time most people realize say dem don cast themselves inside the INEC nomination form they submitted back then.

As regards Tinubu’s age anytime it comes up online , I always find it amusing how his supporters try to defend the whole thing . Tee Mac who is a family friend( Remi’s cousin) has also called his age into question . He even alleged how he arranged for Tinubu to stay in his (Tee Mac’s) step father’s(Mobolaji Bank-Anthony’s) house in London when he(Tinubu ) was on exile. Tee Mac will be 75 this year and Tinubu celebrated 71 couple of days ago.

No Muslim will go to covenant for schooling, they were there to write jamb mock and when jamb place people to centres, they do it randomly... nobody have the time to check religion before placing you in covenant.

Christians will definitely write in Muslim owned centres and imagine the outrage when they stop people from writing exams because they they're NOT putting on hijabs

For me, the concept is very simple. Covenant University is in Canaanland Ota, on the premises of one of the biggest Church auditoriums in the world.

The owners of the premises have as much right to practice their religion as the Hijabi has to practice hers.

Why should a Hijabi go to a Church and insist on practicing her own religion there? That's the height of religious intolerance.

From what I read sef, it's not like they said she couldn't come in, what they said is that she couldn't come in with her hijab on, which is an important difference.

If you know you cane there to write your exam, write your exam in peace, go home to continue to practice your religion...and as I understand, some other hijabis actually did.

I live in Abuja and see Christian girls write exams in Muslim owned centres in Suleja, Mandala... without harassment

Personally I think the onus is on JAMB to stop posting admission seekers to the school to write exams in their CBT center going forward .

Like u rightly pointed out, Canaan land is situated in a church premises . Since the church that owns the premises has a standing order to not allow adherents of the Islam faith to wear hijab within the premises , it is JAMB that should do the needful of not using their CBT center to conduct its exams in order to be fair to all admission seekers including Muslims , non religious people and Christian’s who do not even share Winners kinda doctrines

If winners chapel was to be the Cbt centre Jamb won't approve it....Jamb won't approve any mosque as Cbt centre either.

I cannot over stress this. The girl was not denied entry - her hijab was. Unless her hijab was also writing JAMB, I don't see the fuss.

Jamb and Waec should stopping accepting all these Muslims and Christians schools as centers if they know those schools won’t relax whatever strict laws they have during the period of the exams.

It’s not the fault of the student that jamb took her center to inside Convenant. Jamb and Waec should do the needful and stop this thing.
