Again the wrong questions.

Nobody said she should not enter because she was Muslim

They said she could not enter wearing a Hijab.

She chose not to remove the Hijab because she was Muslim.

There were other Muslims who took off the Hijab and wrote their exams - some of them might have even written exam for Islsmic Studies on the day.

The real argument is whether a CBT centre has the right to dictate dress codes on their premises.
she was asked to remove because it was against Christian beliefs

Data says otherwise Rivers in most crime indices tops Kogi State. Go and verify
Bring the data here. Ambiguous claims do not pass off as facts when making such specific comparisons.

It's common knowledge that the Abuja-Lokoja-Okene road is arguably the most expensive route to travel in Nigeria. Yep! I mean, if you factor in the #20 million ransom per road user.

For all of the vices one can ascribe to Rivers State, accessing it via the federal roads connecting Imo, Abia, and Akwa Ibom, you'd never be kidnapped. Well, maybe robbed a few times when security is lax (mostly at night or midday), but that's it.

You know covenant won't allow you into their compound with the hijab, why not choose another city to write your exam, last time I checked jamb have a preferred exam city or something like that. Choose an exam city you won't have to take off your hijab ,simples.

Same people that were saying visitors and National teams should obey Qatar LGTBQhhdkd rules are now saying covenant should relax there rules since it's jamb that brought the students there, why didn't you ask Qatar to relax there rules since it's FIFA that brought the national teams there.?
Tell me you were not in outrage when Sokoto resident stoned that girl to death for blasphemy. Did you shrug and say " their state, their sharia laws" so no big deal.

No point going around circles, the main problem here is JAMB...

If they did their due diligence then they should have known better...

I am literally not able to post in thr Islamic section without swearing an Islamic Oath against my consent.

I cannot enter a Mosque with Shoes on, and I cannot publicly draw a cartoon of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

In Ilorin , Al-Hikmah Islamic University requires all girls there to wear Hijab. They won't even let you matriculate if you don't.

https://www.alhikmah.edu.ng/uncategorized/notice-to-all-matriculating-students/

I checked and they are also a JAMB CBT centre. Go there and bring out a female candidate not wearing hijab before you continue this conversation

This shït is nowhere near as deep as you're trying to make out.
2 things can be wrong bros. one wrong shouldn't be used to justify another sir

How exactly would she have known that her centre will be in CU?

We’ve heard. 52 is the number of times he’d had intimate relations with women.

It could be his WAEC seat number.

It could be the number of ”tamar“ he can do with both feet consecutively.

Or number of strokes till he cums grin

It could be anything Idolo.

Your point is well illustrated.
If larride successfully renovates that 52 I will award him a contract to build a full size replica of the Great Pyramid.

I also found it quite odd that a reporter willl include Tinubus age in the headline of his story.

The only problem is, if it's not his age then what is it? cheesy

Hijab is an Islam culture and any one practicing Islam is under that culture be it African, American, European or Asian. You were the one talking about holding on to culture few days back yet here you are here showing your hypocrisy telling people to drop their culture, calling it trivial and meaningless. When donjazet called African culture meaningless few days back you were jumping around like a fowl on heat like you really cared about culture.
Many of my posts promote African cultures, not the culture (Islam) of your slavemasters in Arabia.

Islam isn't native to Africa.

Islam is an element of the Arabic culture, not African cultures. Stop mentioning me unnecessarily.

You cannot enforce your rules on those that are not directly under you. They were there to write an exam, let them write their exams and go home.
This was exactly what happened during the WC
Fifa hosted a tournament and Qatar made the rules if you want to enter their country
Jamb set the exam and CU made the rules if you want to enter their premises
This thing no hard na

If I want to write jamb in Minna Niger state, I will definitely know the centers in Minna and if I won't be able to abide by the rules of any of the center. I will choose another city close to Minna. It's not like this is happening for the first time.

So, if I'm a muslim in Cross River State, I have to travel all the way to Kano or Kadunna just so I can write JAMB whilst keeping to my faith? Does it make any sense?

Left to me, religion should be binned...

There are many cities in cross river, I don't think all the jamb centers in all the cities are faith based.

Is religion really the problem or the interpretation of the religion? Individuals should try and study there religion and not just act on what Daddy G O or Alfa Yakubu said on the pulpit.

the problem is the world cup is optional compared to jamb.

it honestly does not speak well of CU and is a pointer to some of the issues raised and which i experienced with respect to religious bigotry by people in authority

it is also a good thing that this has been brought to the fore. because no one would have expected this. others can plan against this going forward. ironically, if oloyede played a game like this people would be up in arms against religious perecution

the exam is less than an hour and a half. this is just a power flex. so if we have a muslim female minister of education who decided to lead a delegation to inspect and re validate CU's accreditation, you think they will suddenly remember to enforce their no hijab stance?

hopefully the students who graduate from CU there will not carry this insular cultish attitude into the larger world

I served in a sharia state in the north and for 3 good weeks inside the NYSC camp I no see a pint of alcohol to buy and drink cry. My fundamental human right to drink was violated, na so so Coca cola and fanta dem dey sell for "mammy market". I could as well say this trampling on my rights affected my believe in my right to drink alcohol.

Maybe I should've written to punch and vanguard newspapers to complain this great injustice

Actually writing JAMB is optional as education is not for everybody

Why is jamb taking admission seekers irrespective of their religion to religious ground to write exams?

That’s the first thing.

Jamb and Waec are fond of doing this and it’s not the first time it’s causing issues. Very simple thing to stop without causing any religious problem. Just stop accepting these religious ground as exam centers. Finish.
The blame is simply on Covenant

If you sign up to be a public exam centre, you simply take on the responsibility of a public centre where freedom of religious dressing is guaranteed. You are now a state actor and the state allows for such dressing.

Bro, Islam is not greater than Christianity. Thr Church has the same right to not want Hijabs, as that girl has to want to wear a Hijab.

If you have been to Canaanland before, you will understand why the church would at the very least not want hijabis moving around on their premises.

Covenant University gate is a good 15 minute walk from the Canaanland Gates, and it would take at least 30-45 minutes ro walk from the Church gates to the closest academic building there.

Bruh no Church will want the Optics of hijabi roaming around on their premises. There's also clear security concerns in these funny times. But most importantly, bruh its a Churxh..

It's a Church.

Glorious
The main issue here is with Jamb and not with CU. This is not the first time this thing is happening. If I am not mistaken that muric prof has raised this issue in the past. Rules shouldn't be changed because of a group of people rather the focus should be why CU is a jamb center just like the way Qatar world cup hosting was questioned.
