Nigeria stands to be stripped of the women’s 4x100m relay gold at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, after an unnamed member of the quartet failed a doping test.

The gold winning team comprises Tobi Amusan, Rosemary Chukwuma, Favour Ofili and Grace Nwokocha.

The AIU has provisionally suspended Nigerian runner, Nzubechi Grace Nwokocha, for the Presence/Use of Prohibited Substances (Ostarine & Ligandrol) (Article 2.1 and Article 2.2)

The problem with drug tests in sports is that many athletes do not take prohibited substances willfully.

Some of the banned substances are contained in over-the-counter medicine and even food. Pro athletes should be careful of what they use.

NIGERIA IS NOT TAKING DOPING SERIOUSLY.. ATHLETES ARE NOT PROPERLY MONITORED..NO PROPER REGULAR TESTING

MORE ATHLETES WILL TEST POSITIVE IN THE COMING MONTHS/YEARS

go to youth competitions in Nigeria,all you see is sringe needles everywhere...the sad part is that these ATHLETES are even under 20..under17 etc..THE COACHES ARE ALSO INVOLVED IN THAT CHEATING
