Nigeria was stripped off the gold medal and awarded to second-placed England

The Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) has banned Nigerian athlete Grace Nwokocha for three years over the Presence of Prohibited Substances Ostarine and Ligandrol in her sample.

According to a statement from AIU, Nwokocha, a 22-year-old Nigerian sprinter, who won gold in the 4x100m relay at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, tested positive for Ostarine and Ligandrol in a sample collected on August 3, 2022.

“The Athlete agrees to be sanctioned with a period of Ineligibility of three (3) years; the Parties agree that taking into consideration the criteria in Rule 10.8.2 of the ADR, the period of Ineligibility shall commence on the date of Sample collection, i.e., 3 August 2022.”

Our athletes should stop this nonsense. White men created performance enhancers because they couldn’t catch up with our natural gifts. We are Africans, the purest blacks. We should not indulge in their dirty game.

This makes all the girls suspect in my view. Even Tobi Amusan and that other girl who was doing very well in college athletics last year, but hasn’t done well at all this year I suspect she might have gotten scared due to the drug investigation and stop taking them which is why her performances have dropped.

AFN must run very comprehensive tests on them before they represent us. It is very annoying and demoralizing to other members of the relay team who gave their best.
