In as much as the government and many government officials are having light 24/7 nothing will be done about the power situation of this country even up to 20 years from now.

In Nigeria, if you as a person are not personally experiencing an issue or a problem or a situation, you'll ignore it and it will look as if it doesn't exist to you that's the same thing with the government. So far they've light 24/7, forget about the masses. This light thing is very easy, very easy to solve but Nigerian leaders ehn. cheesy grin

Is Otedola not among those who contributed to Nigeria's rot... I don't blame him.. I blame Nigerian's who hail him and other members of his class.

We know all of them and their kids made it off our national cake but most Nigerian's have been mentally enslaved to think otherwise.

Dangote, Adenuga, Otedola, Elumelu, Alakija, the Adeleke's and so many other Nigerian elites are who they are today as a result of the wealth they stole.

All these people wouldn't have had this much wealth in a country with a working system and where real capitalists exists.

What many Nigerians don't understand is Nigeria has around 20000MW generation capacity with 8100MW transmission capacity and may likely reach 15000-18000MW while Distribution capacity remain 5000MW. So, in this case billions of Naira will be lost daily if we generate what Distribution system can't evacuate, therefore in as much as DisCos won't upgrade their capacity power will always remain a problem in Nigeria. Power is very expensive and small mistake will cost huge billions naira loss.
Those who privatized power to cronies who never had intention to upgrade it should be blamed.

I agree with your last statement. But i also disagree with putting the blame there exclusively.
Another govt has spent eight years and did nothing in that regard need to be called out too.

When people say they need govt to help...they are trying to say...they want a sweet deal. Sometimes the enemy of the good stops us from sleeping with the devil. If the deals ain't great, no administration should sign off on it for all of our sake or do a short term and be ready to cancel or set specific targets

We know how this guy got his wealth. It's from the Nigerian commonwealth. If you know, you know. What we don't know, however, is what he gas given/paid back to the Nigerian society.

Until those who, like him, have cornered our commonwealth into personal use are: (a) given the Jerry Rawlings treatment; (b) the money put back into the nations purse; and (c) the Singaporean policy of embezzlement put in place, this sort of insult upon injury would continue to be experienced by Nigerians.

Femi Otedola should go and sit down quietly in his house and shut up his diarrhea mouth.
