What many Nigerians don't understand is Nigeria has around 20000MW generation capacity with 8100MW transmission capacity and may likely reach 15000-18000MW while Distribution capacity remain 5000MW. So, in this case billions of Naira will be lost daily if we generate what Distribution system can't evacuate, therefore in as much as DisCos won't upgrade their capacity power will always remain a problem in Nigeria. Power is very expensive and small mistake will cost huge billions naira loss.
Those who privatized power to cronies who never had intention to upgrade it should be blamed.

My Abuja residence also has constant power supply. AEDC sends mails to customers notifying us of disruptions and routine maintenance that may affect power supply.

It's a fact that the power sector has massively improved from what it was in 2007. Nigerians do not notice this.

My observation does not negate Otedola's statement in anyway because he's right.

In my opinion, the Discos are trying. The Gencos have to be more innovative.

Subsidy should first be suspended in the power sector before the petroleum sector or simultaneously.

Is Otedola not among those who contributed to Nigeria's rot... I don't blame him.. I blame Nigerian's who hail him and other members of his class.

We know all of them and their kids made it off our national cake but most Nigerian's have been mentally enslaved to think otherwise.

Dangote, Adenuga, Otedola, Elumelu, Alakija, the Adeleke's and so many other Nigerian elites are who they are today as a result of the wealth they stole.

Transmission is the problem not distribution. Transmission was not privatized, it's still under FG in the name of Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN). Among the distribution companies only Lagos and Enugu Discos are making profits
