Bestmanfornow: Thank God you posted those pictures for Yorubas forming woke to see.. I have been to the South East and I've seen how vegetations there are green whereas Lagos,.Ogun and othe SW states are already overcrowded with air and water pollution everywhere.. Of course you'll call Lagos a slum after enjoying the resources and amenities in the state. Tinubu should grant Lagos the Special Status we have been asking for so that Nigeria too can give back to Lagos, not just taking all the time. If I had my way, I'd drive everyone out of Lagos and replan the state, cleanup all the drainage paths and ensure the sea level threats is eliminated. Lagos will not sink anytime soon, so don't worry too much. 1 Like 1 Share |

Bestmanfornow: You do not have a point, SW has lots of resources too ranging from crude oil, gold, iron ores etc .. They are not just mining it yet and with this they still generate more money than those states taking 13%. SW is the best for now to anyone who thinks straight forward. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Bestmanfornow: Yet again you argue blindly my friend.. Ceteris paribus, South East ought to be in the leagues of Dubai and co considering the fact that one SW state (Oyo State) is bigger than all 5 States in SE combined. That is a fact. Niger State that houses Nupes is x2 the size of entire SE.. Infact I have been having this notion that Nupes are far more than Igbos in Nigeria cos they are predominantly in Niger and parts of Kwara. Do the maths and see their population. I always feel sorry for SEners because you folks don't know how much y'all are taking from Nigeria despite contributing nothing to national purse.. What is your Igr in SE and what is that of Lagos, Ogun, Osun and co?. Economic prosperity is not measured by fine buildings and whatnot.. it's the revenue you generate and jobs created for the people that will make your economy to be considered as working. 1 Like 1 Share |

How a clarifying question turned into a pissing contest. All of these people making this noise, how much tax did you pay to the government last year? Let's start from there. It is not by Lagos this, Anambra that, Rivers the other; what legitimate right do you have to be angry that the government is ripping you off? When I see you all taking this pissing contest; eager to clear your own people instead of expressing your personal disappointment with how the country is run, it's really disheartening. You have a country denying your next generation the best they could have despite your efforts of today and you're here spraying each other with urine. As a resident of Lagos, the state is poorly run. As an indigene of Imo, the state is poorly run. As a long-term guest of Delta, the state is poorly run. For all they give to Nigeria, For all you give to your state, you're madly short-changed. Yet you have strength for pissing contests. Get well soon; that's all I can say to you. @OP, Anything short of true federalism and resource control will always make key development decisions like this always take the backstage. I'm desperate for a sharp upturn in Nigeria's fortunes, which is why I believe only a new idea can bring about the radical change Nigeria requires and Nigerians deserve. 2 Likes |

Princessstee: The industries in ogun are owned majorly by chinese, indians and Lebanese. The only reason they are in ogun is to take advantage of the population of lagos. If half of the residents in lagos leaves as Yorubas are advocating for. Those industries will hear it 2 Likes |

The project, an investment in excess of $1.5 billion, is a joint venture between the federal government, through the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Lagos State Government, Tolarams Group (owners of the Lagos Free Zone), and China Harbour Engineering Company https://dailytrust.com/excitement-as-buhari-commissions-1-5-billion-lekki-deep-seaport/ |

flokii:I put it to you that Akwa Ibom dwarfs all your South Western States in terms of infrastructural development without any support from the federal government unlike your South Western states. Also, Akwa Ibom oil and gas money is feeding your parasitic states in Nigeria, the money could have been deployed to build critical infrastructure that will open up Akwa ibom for investment and in turn provide employment for Akwa Ibom natives and don't forget that Akwa Ibom is such an endowed state that can survive as a country, but a black man is so daft and cannot think outside the box and hence, we are complacent with this exploitative and skewed structure that takes resources from oil producing states to develop other lazy states to their own detriment. Is it the same Ogun state that is nothing to write home about inspite of her proximity to Lagos that you want to compare with Rivers states. Abeakuta is like a war-torn village with brown roofs everywhere. The infrastructure on ground does not match your claim so let me laugh over this and pass. Infact Nigeria cannot survive without money from the South South. |

Bestmanfornow:There' nothing in Oyo apart from that cocoa house in Ibadan. To them landmass is development, but they are ignorant about the size of UK. Nigeria is bigger than UK but it cannot rival UK in terms of development. They should stop making noise about their big for nothing and empty South West. Only a tiny portion of Lagos is developed and the rest is a mega slum. Nigerians should be weeping for themselves and stoning their wicked and evil leaders. No state in Nigeria is developed yet. |
