But it was in 1962 thereabouts, and NOT in 1979. sad

Awolowo was Premier of Western Region then.

The Itsekiri Monarch was known as Olu of Itsekiri.
He then started to claim Olu of Warri, which offended Urhobos and Ijaws who lived in the Warri LGA's. undecided

The case was taken to court and the Itsekiris used their Influence +Yoruba Affiliation to make Awolowo proclaim Their King as OLU OF WARRI. 😒
