The major problem Tinubu's government may face at inception is to have a cabinet who are "hated" by the majority of Nigerians. It would make the administration a difficult one because every policy (including the sincere ones) will be vehemently opposed.

Mr Tinubu, listen, it is us the Nigerian people who gave you victory against all odds that you owe a payback, not these insatiable political jobbers.

This is YOUR time to write your name in gold by choosing the most competent people to fill the most important roles such as a Minister of Finance, Attorney General, CBN governor, Minister of Aviation (Aviation can be a key driver of our economy) etc We need a powerful Minister of finance to impose financial discipline across government.

Get the best people for these roles. If you can't find a suitable Nigerian, do not hesitate to get the best available talents from any country in the world. Truth is, many Nigerians with big qualifications and titles are not competent. Let's go for the best. If the best Aviation administrator you can get is from Ghana, Sweden, or Argentina get him/her.

It feels like this is Nigeria's last chance to get things right.

Be brave Mr Tinubu. Go for merit.
