As far as I'm concerned, he's only echoing what his two media spokesmen said, which is that the call recording was edited out of context.

My point was always around countering the asinine suggestion that the call recording was an AI generated deepfake.

For these reasons, I am satisfied that the conversation did indeed happen, and that Obi was actually yes daddying away as heard. But there's a difference between the argument that the audio recording is an AI generated Deepfake implying the conversation never happened, and the argument that recording was edited out of context, which implies it did.
