You re not from benue state, so keep quiet. Ortom was a failure, other states form local police, ortom can't form single one. He was just shouting herdsmen without fighting them or find the way to fight it. It was just politics for ortom. Every benue man re United against Fulani Herdmen . Agatu is full Idoma that is where Idoma starts from Apa himself. So I don't why you are saying what you don't know. Now the Muslim, Muslim ticket Tinubu won benue state with 10,000 votes. And many people voted APC bcs of this rev father. So get the story first.
Ogonimilitant:
This the beginning of your wailing. APC is a party with Fulani agenda. Benue people are the funniest people in Nigeria.
Ortom fought for you but you decided to embrace your killer. Fulani will take over your land and the best you can do is to wail as usual.

You voted muslim/Muslim ticket. You will live it for 8yrs. l will be the last person to believe Benue people will vote APC.

Benue have so many tribes and will never unite to fight as Benue people. If it happens in Agatu, Idoma people will say it's not their tribe. Like wise if it happens in Otukpo.

Freestyl:
In a shocking incident that has rocked the Nigerian state of Benue, suspected herdsmen have been accused of carrying out a brutal attack on the Umogidi community, leaving at least 46 people dead.

The incident occurred in the Entekpa-Adoka district of Otukpo Local Government Area, just a day after the same village had been attacked, resulting in the deaths of three people who were being prepared for burial.

The Governor-Elect of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has condemned the killings in the strongest possible terms. Speaking from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, on April 7, 2023, Fr. Alia described the incident as a heinous act that has left the entire community in shock and despair.

The attack on Umogidi community is the latest in a string of violent incidents that have plagued Benue State in recent years. Tensions have been high between farmers and herdsmen over grazing rights, leading to clashes that have resulted in numerous deaths and injuries.

The Benue State government, led by Governor Samuel Ortom, has been criticized for their handling of the situation, with many accusing them of failing to take decisive action to curb the violence. The Governor-Elect has called for urgent measures to be put in place to protect innocent citizens and prevent further bloodshed.

Fr. Alia has also urged the federal government to take swift action to address the root causes of the conflict between farmers and herdsmen in Benue State. He has called for dialogue and engagement between all stakeholders to find a lasting solution to the problem.

The incident has sparked outrage across Nigeria, with many calling for justice and accountability for the perpetrators of the attack. The international community has also condemned the violence and called on the Nigerian government to take action to protect its citizens and ensure that such incidents do not occur again.

As investigations continue into the attack on Umogidi community, the people of Benue State are left to mourn the loss of their loved ones and wonder when the cycle of violence will finally come to an end.

Angula Bishop Reuben writes from Makurdi.

They will blame the killings on Fulani herdsmen as usual without concrete evidence. However, it’s clear that a pattern exists here - resumption of banditry kidnapping, killings and general breakdown of law and order after the elections. It is all coordinated by a group of anti government groups

Fr, Alia-these people are testing ground for the worst things to come,if you don't face it headlong now!
The way out is to go back to the Presidency and ask for the Security Plans they have for Benue State, afterall, you just came back from the place.
Also,as a governor -elect,try to device -New Plans to Secure your State e g Payments to Local Vigilante on Monthly basis!
May be because Benue State is closer to some borders, make local people too be responsible by Monthly payments to them,it will surely reduces the incursions!

What they do is to attack through the neighbouring states of Kogi and Benue and flee back. Since when did you hear they attacked the hinterland unlike in other regions? Just give praise to whom it is due.
And your warriors are no where to be found whenever such attack is taking place? 🤔
They don't repel them, but always come when the dust has settled to enforce sit at home & terrorize their fellow Igbo kinsmen. grin
Is that bravery? 🤔

Evill children from the Yeast are happy because Obi lost in Benue. They expected the people of Benue to love Ortom because of Obi very pathetic people. Mr Gov elect don't fail us Ortom has failed his people that gave him a second chance thinking APC was the problem but Mr failure scored own goal twice .
A massacre in Benue by fulani terrorist yet you never mentioned fulani. Instead, you called Obi and insulted the East who has no business whatsoever with the thread. What does it say about you?
You must be a big fool for not calling out the killers.

Wowww wow Garri and Sugar u harsh o. shocked

Thing is most fulani herdsmen are already done with their maiming, inflicting injuries, face disfiguring, & in most cases killing AND CONVENIENTLY ESCAPING from the scene.
So unless caught directly inthe act, it is very difficult to distinguish a killer herdsmen 🐄🐄🐄 who has murdered pipl in the vicinity, from an lnnocent one .

(2) jungle justice of those caught will lead to complete breakdown of law & order. Since some of these fulani are very vengeful & it can lead to never ending chain of do me l do you tit for tat.

Jungle justice will lead to more anarchy and chaos. But l do support Death sentence for those caught.

lMHO, It is easier for Herdsmen to be chased from a community.than this bokoharam menace to be stamped out in real time. Make everybody go their own, Make dem just share divide the country let whoever wants to make his state islamic Nation do so ASAP without forcing other regions.
I do hope BH killinngs & agigations stop the moment all the states sharia law is supreme, go and form their own islamic Nation let others be and whoever else again wants to go go .

The Bokoharam debate & Fulani herdsmen killing debate is a really big one. Buhari a whole Army general ex military head of state could not estinguish it & bring permanent lasting security . Neither jonathan. Na so we go dey dey?
