helinues:it's a two way thing. I do not believe that Tinubu built Lagos, the evidence before us suggests that Lagos has been the financial and economic headquarters of Nigeria even before Tinubu entered secondary school. Lagos has had this potential to be the biggest economy in Nigeria since before 1960 because it's the financial of the most populous country. I believe that Tinubu did not do enough to harness these potentials. I want to see this thing from your point of view, by doing that it's two options: 1. It's either Tinubu changes everything and makes the lives of Nigerians better. (which I doubt, owing to the fact that he still reasons like the old order politician. I will be glad if I am wrong). 2. Or he maintain the old poltical and procedural order of doing this in Nigeria. Which is doing to be a disaster because the country is on a brink. (I hope won't be the case). |

helinues:The topic is whether Tinubu performs or not. Stay on it, you are looking for every means to make this discussion a petty banter. Yes, I don't believe that Tinubu performed in Lagos visavis the potential and I am being sincere about this. It is the reason why I doubt if he will perform at the national level. I Wil be glad if he proves me wrong |

Workch:If Tinubu did not build Lagos, why are your people flocking their? |

helinues:It's like asking that if Obama did not built America then why are black flocking to America? Of course, Obama didn't build America, he contributed his own quota and blacks have been going to America before Obama became president.. Tinubu did not built Lagos, Lagos has been built before him and people have been migrating to Lagos enmass before him. So why do you think he will perform at the national stage. I do not think he performed in Lagos |

Workch:Why do you some of you people always making senseless comments? What did Obi build? Anambra money he invested in hero beer is worth to nothing according to Gov Soludo. Obi generated meager N2bn in all his 8 years as Governor Next UK was shut down because of tax evasion. This same Obi increased Anambra state tuition fee claiming Education is for the rich, if your principal did not build anything, why does he deserves to be Nigeria president? Isn't this hatred about Tinubu who made Lagos the choise of destination not for only Nigerians but foreigners. Hatred they kill faster than Ebola |

helinues:I am going to have to educate you because you seem not very sharp. Look at it, the richest cities in Africa by GDP are Cairo, Johannesburg, cape Town, Lagos, Algiers, Alexandria, in that order. Lagos has GDP of $76b (according to Lagos bureau of statistics), Alexandria of Egypt has a GDP of $66b. Now budget Alexandria in 2023 is $881m The budget of Lagos state in 2023 is about $4bn. The IGR projection of lagos state for 2023 is $2bn. City of Alexandria in 2022 generated $2.5b in 2022 as against Lagos $1.4b (if you factor inflation, it's about $1billion). Now the idea is, a city of Alexandria with a much lower GDP generates more revenue than Lagos and even has a leaner budget over the years. These are some of the things they have been able to achieve with a leaner budget, more IGR and lower GDP. It begs the question, is Lagos that efficient as you people paint it? It now begs, the question: what's Lagos state even doing with the IGR? Hold on, I am not done....

helinues:The first picture is Lagos state university. The second picture is Alexandria University. You Can see the difference in investment with respect to two cities with similar IGR, GDP and Alexandria has a lower budget. Hold on, I am not done....

helinues:first picture is alexandria University teaching hospital entrance gate. The second is Lagos state university teaching hospital gate. The two cities have similar GDP and IGR. I am showing you this so you can have an idea of where Lagos state should be with the kind of money it has. And the reason why I think that Lagos state currently does not meet my expectations
