When will we have a President that will have the INTELLIGENCE to build a traditional African religious TEMPLE in that Aso Rock and National Assembly? Did your ancestors not know GOD? Did you only learn about the Supreme Being when Arab and European invaders conquered your lands barely 2 centuries ago? What the hell happened to YOUR religion? What an interesting write-up. The points raised are valid... It always amaze me how we Africans could totally sideline our own, indigenous religion for a religion that is not ours nor did it originates with our culture. Most Africans have even put traditional religion as Dark, figuratively a symbolism of bad and evil ( But what do you expect, when that is what western religion, which has flood our mind wants us to believe) The western religions with other indigenous religions has been stereotypically made to be believed, literally as a contract and figuratively as an oxymoron or a paradox. People use it to gain insight into their life purpose, it's been used for rainmaking, and it's been used to cure illnesses, to ward off spells.. Too many good things about traditional religion. The govt should FUND the traditional religion sector which has been decimated by colonial-inspired policies of exclusion. They do not have to be left to worship in village shrines. There was a space earmarked for tradition and culture (or something like that) somewhere between the National Mosque and the Ecumenical Centre in Garki around Area 8. Our modern-day corruption and criminal/violence propensity can be traced DIRECTLY to the abandonment of our traditional religion in favour of christianity and islam. Traditional religion placed SANCTIONS on those vices. Nothing like ''forgiveness''. It is that concept of ''forgiveness'' introduced by christianity and islam that destroyed Africa.
