Israel is not a christian country, it is a secular state, with a Jewish majoirty. And most jews are not very pro-Christian at all. Christians make up 1.9% of the population (which is lower than even Egypt where Christians make up 10-17% of the population)

Infact, being a christian missionary in Israel is just as hard as being a christian missionary in a muslim country. The fact is, most Jews regard Jesus Christ as a heretical preacher, and as someone who was severely misguided. Ditto his followers.

If the world decides to do away with USD as the reserve currency, I believe the GBP will still retain its value...except the whole West (Big 4) is collapsing together.

If that's the case, the safe haven is gold and silver...or the currency of the emerging power bloc.

That's my view.

I asked that original question because right from early 2022, the
U.S. Fed started increasing key interest rates month after month, and many countries and their local currencies (the UK and GBP
included) got hit badly by hyper-inflation and devaluation.

So, while the USD got stronger due to the U.S. interest rate increases, the GBP and other world currencies lost value rapidly, and other developing countries defaulted in their USD denominated loan payments.

Gold is truly a safe haven like you said but let's see how things pan out this year with the IMF projected global recession and more.
