Yeah sleeping pill is a slippery slope. After some time that dose will stop working and then you need to increase again and again.

It is better to carry out behavioural changes like reducing coffee and alcohol, appropriate exercise, improving phone,TV, and book hygiene. Then also work on reducing underlying stress and anxiety.
