The fight for Dennis Osadebe Avenue, the seat of power in Edo State, appears to be taking shape already, as numerous stakeholders have  begun the process of politicking and planning to position themselves as the legitimate ticket holders of their party ahead of the gubernatorial  election.

Here is a list of ten candidates who have been heavily rumored to be interested in the governorship campaign.

Take note that a range of factors, including geographical strength and voting culture, will influence election results.

We begin in no particular sequence with Edo North Senatorial District.

LP 78...I pray the best among them should join LP and win massively because Edo youths are massively obidents...obidents are not tribal bigots as tinubu goons will have u believe but youths who are hungry for good governance irrespective of tribe and religion..when someone is blinded by ethnic politics..he begins to see others as he is...a good president will be to the good of every one irrespective of tribe and religion... I never bought money during the cash shortage because as a business owner I see money but most average civil servants suffered terribly during that period..bad governance will touch everyone even your tribe man is the president

Dude, politics doesn't work that way.
Sure, Edo Central deserves a turn now.

Alli and Osunbor (even in his short spell) did well. Alli was exceptional even considering that UPN was not at FG level.

But Edo Central fortunes have been too linked to PDP. Plus PDP has factions now, with Edo Central bigwigs not really in Obaseki camp. However, Edo Central has enjoyed FG the most since 1999. Uromi folks in particular. So PDP has been beneficial overall.

Edo Central must now spread out across more parties, especially LP. It is already happening anyway.

Sometimes I wonder how Nigerians allow these politicians play with their head. Voters dey surprise me pass the cunning politicians. They see the populace as a poultry farm

Pastor Azemen Azena of Omega church is contesting too. Oshiomhole is routing for Clem Agaba.

I honestly would love to see Peter Esele becomes the next governor of Edo state.
