How Peter Obi spent Easter in detention in London
Peter Obi was accosted by immigration officials at Heartrow Airport who handed him a detention note and told him to step aside

Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, was last week detained in London by the United Kingdom immigration officials for alleged impersonation.

This was made known in a statement issued Wednesday by the Head, Obi-Datti Media, Diran Onifade.

Mr Onifade however said Peter Obi has since returned to Nigeria.

“The LP presidential candidate in the February 25 presidential poll arrived at the Heathrow Airport in London from Nigeria on Good Friday, April 7, 2023, and joined the queue for the necessary Airport protocols when he was accosted by immigration officials who handed him a detention note and told him to step aside,” Mr Onifade said.

According to the statement, Peter Obi was harassed by London immigration officials and placed in detention where he spent the Easter holidays.

“He was questioned for a long time and it was very strange for a man who lived for over a decade in that country,” the statement said.

Raumdeuter, I spent the Easter break in Munich. Interesting things i noted:

- Support for Bayern is fanatical. You can catch all latest Bayern news updates just taking the public train home. There’s also a Bayern official club franchise at the Munich airport close to Terminal two. Saw some cheeky Dortmund fans had plastered the Dortmund crest on the escalator and thought to myself, “who invited blud ”

1860 München also have good support.

I didn’t stay long enough to visit Allianz though. Maybe next year

Munich is also classy and expensive AF. Na Olowo dey live there.

The gangs of Lagos was a good one ; it wasn’t bad as I had thought .

I however have the following reservations:

1. I believe this kinda project is an opportunity to tell the story of a group of people ( in this case Lagosians ) ,but the producers chose to tell the wrong story . They could’ve talked about the hustle and bustle spirit of Lagos , not this gang wahala . I also find it difficult to connect the prologue of the movie where the commentator said “the first gang of Lagos “ are the eyo masquerades. The thing no make any logical sense and they didn’t do anything to try to link that statement with happenings in the movie as time goes on

Okay so these are my very best season movies of all time! Across all genres.

What makes a good season movie for me are;

-wonderful storyline or scriptwriting, that is, good intricate interwoven plotlines that leave you wanting more. Eg, Breaking bad, sense8, the wire etc.
-Superb cinematic production value. Series that when you watch, you see that money was well spent, the asthetics, scenery and the likes were well crafted. Game of thrones, legend of seeker, the west wing.

Top notch Creativity.
Wonderful performances from the actors. Olivia pope in scandal, Annalise Keating in HTGAWM. Jack Bauer of 24 etc. Malik of mr robot. House of cards.

Of course educative and informative.

So these are my very best seasonal movies. Many possess all or most of the qualities i listed above. I just couldn't get enough. Although some disappointed with the endings but the vast majority were jaw dropping.

Ps; i love all genres of series apart from maybe "religious and conservative series". My favorite genre has to be political drama series. Any series that has the office of the president or a form of government intrigue, constantly features the white house or pentagon or other bureaucracy like the CIA, FBI or the likes. So sometimes this can mix up with detective series. But political dramas like west wing, house of cards, scandal, veep, 24 are some of my favorite.

In no particular order but my top 5 being the very best before the rest of the best.

There is not a single series you would watch on this list that you wouldn't enjoy and want more.
These are the very best of entertainment from my experience.

I’ve watched almost everything on the list except for a few handfuls which I chose not to watch just by reading the storyline online and found them not appealing .

Below is my post immediately I finished watching the movie. I get friend wey dey carry Eyo that year and I knew serious misrepresentation of facts happened in that movie especially with the statement that “Eyo masquerades are the first gangs of Lagos “ . The level no pure .

It’s a good thing the concerned parties have come out to set records straight . I also saw vector just now on IG boiling seriously about the whole thing ; I’m sure some of the actors in the movie who are his friends will not be happy with his critique .
