Basically the argument seems to be on the importance of a female knowing how to cook or not.
Truth is both genders gats sabi cook as it is a necessary skill.
The issue is we come from a society that has mostly pushed that responsibility on women and even your fellow women shame women who don't know how to cook.

Personally not cooking is not a major deal for me.

Biggest Factor in a relationship is Love. .'It is not compulsory to know how to cook. Lack of culinary skills does not demean a woman or make less of her. Cooking is trivial and any man willing to let a woman go because she lacks culinary skills is a man-child.
