liveLongNprospa:If you say the bolded, why should one person not know how to cook, and we say we are both responsible? So if a man travels, his wife will be taking the kids to Sweet Sensation every morning, afternoon and night till he gets back? Is this how both of them can be responsible for their family? |

izzou:It's possible not all countries use that ECOWAS-type template...the Nigerian passport is an ECOWAS passport and it's very possible there's an overlap in design for countries that choose to use this ECOWAS passport. |

BlaqFaze:So basically you are saying the thing that gives a man respect in the home is only or let's say majorly his earning power. 😁 I nor disagree but kinda sad sha that as a man our perceived position is due to our earning power |

izzou:Lmao if a man travels and the woman buys food for the kids, will they not survive? Abi if a woman travels and a man is getting food from eateries for the kids will the kids die? Abi something special dey Inside the meals? Being responsible to your family means to provide for them. The woman can pay a chef to cook and that sorts it out. Some of these things na lack of money dey reduce ability to navigate simple issues sometimes ![]() |

liveLongNprospa:A country of 133 million poor people, but we need to justify why cooking is not important and a man can pay chef to cook. If na European dey type this thing, i go understand. When i was working, ladies bring their food flasks to work. Both single and married. Even men wey don marry sef dey carry flask come work But online, a man can pay a chef. Ask how many married men here have chefs on this thread or on this forum. Make una continue |

https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2019/11/27/exclusive-caribbean-officials-linked-to-diplomatic-passport https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1Yba1-ijh4 if we had been told that bola tinubu had bought a dominican republic diplomatic passport, it may have made sense - if tinubu was under any kind of threat. but here we have a story that in 2015 - with APC in control of the entire nigerian apparatus tinubu is seeking out a diplomatic passport of a weak country ![]() anyways, we wait for the obidients to hit us with more alternative facts as is their way |

izzou:I don look the passport again, Tinubu's passport and the woman's own that Tinubu posted are same design...her passport also has PD under passport type, and a stamp from the Guinean chief of Cabinet, so likely diplomatic passport as well. |

liveLongNprospa:someone here is saying cooking in a relationship doesn't matter, all that matters is love What is love? "Abi something dey special inside the meals" is there something special in opening door for someone? Is there something special in hugging and kissing and fvcking... something you can get from an ashawo who will do it much better Do you love the ashawo? So what is love if cooking is not among |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Itsrm(m): 12:40pm On Apr 16, 2023 |
liveLongNprospa:This small thing wey you put here is why many Nigerian marriages crash. The man doesn't work or earns little, the woman works and pays the bills, the man sits at home all day long and won't lift a finger. The woman comes back from her daily hustle to start washing and cooking. Eventually she starts wondering if she even needs a man in her life, attitude kicks in and before you know it, divorce. I always tell men, if you stay at home and don't work, the least you can do is support with domestic chores. It won't kill you nor take anything away from you. Having said that, I can't marry a woman who does not know not how to cook. All these employ a cook thing is nonsense and is exactly why a lot of men run from marriages these days. The argument they make is, If I have to employ a maid to wash, employ a cook to cook and I can get a baby mama, why do I need marriage? |

GloriousGbola:The diplomatic passport angle I'm bringing is me saying there's no meat in the new expose from Hundeyin. He probably went there on official/state business, it's not like they'd offer to give him a diplomatic passport out of respect and he'd say errrm...your country's passport is weak, I no want. |

izzou:Lmao izzou calm down and follow the conversation well. I said that cooking is a skill both genders need. I also said that I know this conversation is because alot of men ascribe cooking to the women in the relationship which is not the way it is unlike then. I gave an example by saying what if the woman earns higher than the man and thereby takes on more responsibilities in the home, who then cooks? We all agree cooking is important to both genders. Where it seems we differ is which gender it should be traditionally assigned to now.. Personally it doesn't make sense for it to be a woman when both of them are working and earning and barely have time. OH before I forget, for me I don't bother about whether she can cook or not coz eating food from outside nor dey commot anything from my body coz I'm lucky to be able to afford that lifestyle 🙏 |

BlaqFaze:Love is what you define it to be personally. Your definition of love and mine are different. It's like sexual orientation. The things that get me going sexually will differ from yours. That doesn't mean yours is any more correct than mine or does it? |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlaqFaze: 12:46pm On Apr 16, 2023 |
izzou:In Nigeria and Africa at large marrying a woman who can't cook is recipe for disaster That big yansh and breast that is shacking you will clear one day and you'll have a house where your wife will be scampering every morning to look for where to buy food for kids to take to school |

liveLongNprospa:If you create a thread stating why Men should cook, i will not argue or defend why we shouldn't I said it before...Everybody should know how to cook. I served in Kebbi state, and i cooked from my first day after Camp till i left There was no buka. If anyone did not know how to cook, or try to learn, you will eat bread till you eventually die. This has nothing to do with whether you have money or not Cooking is necessary, and instead applauding women who can't, encourage them to learn. I am also happy you are stating your opinion. It is good. But it is not a true reflection of our world. You can do a survey of married men here that have wives that can't cook, and pay chefs to do the job. Let us see how many they are |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Amoto94(m): 12:50pm On Apr 16, 2023 |
Can I cook? Yes! Will I marry a woman who cant cook and unwilling to learn how to cook? No. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by liveLongNprospa(m): 12:50pm On Apr 16, 2023 |
Itsrm:Lmao I agree with the first 3 paragraphs. You see the last 2 is where I disagree. Na suffer head make some of us dey consider certain things as love. So you believe say as I dey like this, I get enough money then I go come dey allow my wife enter kitchen for where I fit employ chef ni. This life big and there are alot of activities you can do with that free time to bond and show why marriage is awesome. Lool.. |

liveLongNprospa:No wahala So if people say they can't marry a woman who can't cook, women shouldn't see it as a derogatory remark because cooking it's a very good thing to be proud of I can boldly say that a lot of men will be very proud to have a wife that can cook very well |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 12:52pm On Apr 16, 2023 |
BlaqFaze:In a country where more than half are struggling, person dey underplay the value of cooking So everyone can afford chefs and maids.. Wonderful |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 12:53pm On Apr 16, 2023 |
izzou:most of this gender role talk especially where nigerian women are concerned is BS a Nigerian woman may manage a man who cannot provide, but she will definitely not be happy with him. and it will slowly and surely chip away at whatever love or feelings there were in the marriage if the issue is not resolved even more so when women in general and third world women in particular are hypergamous the whole point of hypergamy is a man who can provide above and beyond your needs there are enough threads on this platform featuring women cursing out unsuccessful men. |
