Cooking is actually one of the most important techniques in managing the home's resources and this responsibility falls in the hand of a woman,The man is supposed to render "help".

If a woman provides for the home..it is termed "help" or supporting the man n not just her mandatory role.


It is irresponsible on the part of the woman if she can't cook or performs home duty.

I think that's Tinubu's actual passport, a diplomatic passport...why he was given a diplomatic passport by Alpha Conde, the president of Guinea then, I can't say, but I expect there'd be a response from Tinubu's camp in the coming days and we'd know the truth.

This small thing wey you put here is why many Nigerian marriages crash. The man doesn't work or earns little, the woman works and pays the bills, the man sits at home all day long and won't lift a finger. The woman comes back from her daily hustle to start washing and cooking.

Eventually she starts wondering if she even needs a man in her life, attitude kicks in and before you know it, divorce.

I always tell men, if you stay at home and don't work, the least you can do is support with domestic chores. It won't kill you nor take anything away from you.

Having said that, I can't marry a woman who does not know not how to cook. All these employ a cook thing is nonsense and is exactly why a lot of men run from marriages these days.

The argument they make is, If I have to employ a maid to wash, employ a cook to cook and I can get a baby mama, why do I need marriage?

Anybody that wants to learn how to cook should do that irrespective of Gender. Anybody interested in cooking should learn not just women. The idea that women must be good in the kitchen only propagate the wrong Idea that they belong there. It also creates a situation where the man is okay not making food because he believes it is the job of the woman.

The truth is that if the woman start going to work and earns just as much as the man, equality will set in and the opinions of the women carries the same weight as the man's.

It may lead to clash of egos... nobody is going to back down for anyone.

To me, I prefer the man working while the woman stay at home and do domestic chores and most importantly know how to cook

This is another angle I had not considered. If she makes so much money that cooking significantly impacts on her ability to make the money then getting a chef is unavoidable.
