The adventure mode on PS4 is mad. Played it on a friend console and I was hooked. The storyline is awesome.

PS2 only had OG XBOX as a new challenger for competition.

In terms of graphics advancement, PS2 had significant leaps on PS1 in terms of graphical fidelity and power, but it was still only an improvement on 3D

You cannot understand the impact that PSX had if you did not experience it. When you go from playing final fantasy 3/4 on cartridge in 2D to playing Final fantasy 7 in 3D over 3 cds, You cannot possibly understand what it meant to play Lara Croft in 3d after spending years platforming Prince of Persia in 2D on the family computer. If you played 2D Metal Gear on Famicom back then, then seeing Solid Snake in 3D was amazing! Playing Resident Evil 2 directors cut, SIlent Hill, Spyro the Dragon, mothafucking Tenchu!!!

The use of memory card to store your game progress meant that you were no longer at the mercy of NEPA.

I will say this about the ps1 compared to the ps2.
